Vintage Tube Amp

This listing includes a beautiful vintage Heathkit AA-121 stereo vacuum tube amplifier in exceptionally clean and electrically restored condition. Some of the work that was done to this amplifier includes: all of the tubes recently tested strong, the EL-34 / 6CA7 output tubes were matched and balanced, bad and out of spec capacitors were replaced, out of spec resistors were replaced, all solder joints have been inspected and any loose connections were re-soldered. As the photos show, the electrical work was done very well. As the photos also show, this vintage amp is very clean, inside and out, with only minor cosmetic wear. The original cage is also in fantastic shape. This amplifier has been well cared for over the years and there is virtually no corrosion anywhere on it. The power cord is in good condition and is not brittle. All of the lettering on the face and chassis is clear and easy to read. The two back feet, on the bottom of this amp, have been replaced with heavy-duty feet to better support the substantial weight of the three transformers. All of the tubes shown are included with this amp. Three of the El-34 tubes were made in Great Britain, and I believe them to be Mullards. I believe the fourth EL-34 tube is a vintage GE tube. Again, all of the tubes have recently tested strong and the output tubes are matched based on recent test results. This is a beautiful example of a vintage Heathkit tube amplifier in good working condition and it comes as shown in the photos. Up for sale here is this single vintage Eico HF-20 tube amplifier, with serial number 7973. This came from a local tube guy, and came to me just as you see it. This is in fantastic condition, and includes all the tubes, the top cage/cover, and the bottom cover/feet as well. The bottom is missing a few screws, but has most of them. This is in really good physical condition, but here are some things to note. Light overall wear, some minor scrapes/scuffs. Knobs are all there and are in nice shape. Very light rust on transformers. Tubes are the ones that I got it with, and are untested. The outputs are a very mismatched pair–one is a 5881 and the other is a Sylvania 6L6GC. Cord is attached and seems fine. Circuitry may or may not be original–I don’t see anything modern, but I don’t know if this was ever updated. I will guarantee the transformers to be good. Up for sale is an excellent original condition McIntosh MC-275 Stereo Tube Amp. It has been in my collection more than 30 years since I bought it from the original owner in Chicago. I have used it from time to time with many different speakers. It comes with four vintage Sylvania 6550 tubes and Telefunken 12AX7, 12AU7, USA Made 12BH7 miniature tubes. Four Sylvania 6550 tubes are vintage new tubes. Each pair of these is almost matched and strong by Hickok 539C and TV-7 tube tester. There has been no modification done to this amp as seen in the photos. It is in original stock condition. All electrolytic capacitors are measured fine without any leak or dried up. Also it comes with a genuine McIntosh factory tube cage. It still plays and produces an excellent sound, however. Up for sale here is this rare vintage Knight KB-85 tube amplifier. This normally runs 4 EL37 output tubes, two 5AR4 (GZ-34) rectifier tubes, two 12AX7 tubes, and two EF86 tubes. This includes two 12AX7s, two EF86s, four 5881 output tubes, but no 5AR4s, sorry. The EF86s and 12AX7s are untested but will probably work fine, but the 5881s are pretty worn-out and will need replacing. The two metal tube covers are included. This is in great shape with light to moderate overall wear, with absolutely beautiful chrome. The extremely rare top cage/cover is included. It has the Knight badge on one side. The cover does have some rust on it, but since the top part of the cover is removable it would be pretty easy to sand down and repaint it. This is currently in non-working condition. Other than the tubes, this appears to be completely original–the previous owner told me that this blew the fuse at least 30+ years ago and was just set aside at the time.
