Vintage 1930′s Dickerson Amplifier “Idaho Slim” Tube Amp Very Rare for Steel Guitar. Rescued from imminent destruction! We found this and knew it had to be rescued. We do not know much about it and the information on these is limited. However Dickerson is the company that became Magnatone. Dickerson manufactured these from 1937- 1947. This one has a worn label (not sure if it is original) that a to the best we can make out says “Idaho Slim”. Where this is coming out of Idaho that would make sense. Dusted off with a micro cloth… We plugged it in and it WORKED! We ran it for less then a minute as to not damage the unit – just wanted to see if it worked after being stored for so long. It packed a punch for what looks to be such a simple amp, both inputs worked fine, tubes light up and look very cool. The cord is brittle and needs replaced. The cord is patched in a few spots.
