Originally designed for bass, this amp is highly desired by your favorite guitar players such as Hendrix, Clapton, Cobain, SRV, The Beatles, Buddy Guy, Pete Townsend and many others from rock to blues and grunge artist. This amp is known for its versatility and warm, rich, clean tone, making it highly responsive to the player’s touch and is highly desirable for bass and guitar players. 2 channel amp with four inputs. This amp is all original other than the original 2 prong cord, which was frayed and recently repaired with a modern 2 prong cord, and a newer grill cloth. This amp was recently serviced on 11/12/25 with a new 2 prong cord, a new power on switch, new F&T electrolytic capacitors and 2 new Sovtek 6L6GC tubes.

1967 Fender Bandmaster Amp. Electric Guitar / Bass Amplifier Head. I bought this amp many decades ago and used it briefly before adding it to my collection. This is an unusually clean drip edge model. A former owner drilled 3 holes in the back of the chassis partially obscuring the last digit of the serial number. I taped plastic over the tube chart to preserve it but retained all the original hardware. I replaced the original silverface faceplate with a repro blackface faceplate because it was an early drip edge model with two 1967 transformer coded dates and the output transformer is a 1964. I took it to my current amp tech and he replaced the filter caps, powered it for an hour and checked operation. He says it’s now in great shape. Serial # A 2937 1? Last # is cut out. (48th week of 1967). (45th week of 1967). (26th week of 1964). It might serve the buyers purpose to bring up the power slowly with a variac since these used amp heads are over 50 years old and have not been used for a few decades. Our amp tech has only replaced the needed parts -(filter caps & power cords as specified) to just get them turned on and running for an hour. Please see a skilled amp tech before extended use. The operation of the amps requires that they be regularly serviced for optimal performance. Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Deluxe Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. A transitional “drip edge” example with aluminum trim framing the grillcloth, this Deluxe Reverb has an identical AB763 circuit to its “Black Panel” forebears. Extremely original and freshly serviced to ensure optimal performance, the Deluxe Reverb has a sweet, balanced sound that delivers the top end sparkle and clarity characteristic of the best amps from Fender’s golden era. This amp is very responsive to player inputs, working as a perfect platform for effects pedals, and while the treble response can twang with the best, there’s a smoothness to the top end that keeps the amp from sounding harsh. Turning up past around 5 on the volume dial, the amp begins to push into overdrive territory with light compression and plenty of sizzle. The Reverb is lush with long decay, and the Tremolo has a strong pulse with an almost three-dimensional quality to the effect when increasing the intensity. The circuit retains all of the original Schumacher-made transformers (Fender’s primary transformer supplier in this era), with date codes primarily from the first weeks of 1969, while the choke dates back to mid-1966. The preamp is completely original save for a couple smaller Sprague capacitors and a single resistor to ensure performance in-line with original factory specifications. The original CTS pots are intact, also with visible date codes from the 16th week of’66 and the 7th week of’69. The power supply has been professionally recapped with high quality F&T caps, and a three-prong cable has been installed too. Tubes comprise a fresh, properly-biased pair of JJ 6V6s, while the rectifier and full set of preamp tubes are all original RCA-made valves. The speaker is an era-correct Oxford 12T6 12 ceramic magnet driver with a clean black frame. The speaker is higher wattage than the stock driver, ensuring optimal headroom and bass response, dating to early 1970. The speaker is mounted to the original baffle, notable for being one of the very last screw-in baffles used by Fender before the glued-in baffles became the norm for the remainder of the Silverface run. The baffle is in great shape, and this earlier style is considered to be more resonant and also far easier to replace if the necessity were to arise. The original tube chart is intact inside the cabinet too, noting the AB763 circuit. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe are intact, with only light aging of the grill and similarly restrained wear on the enclosure. The original faceplate has all of its turquoise text with just a speckling of patina, retaining a full complement of witch hat knobs. Hardware includes the original chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and raised Fender logo with tail. This vintage Deluxe Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 55 years of use. The amp comes complete with the original black two-button footswitch to engage the Reverb and Vibrato effects.

Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Princeton Reverb in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a full vintage RCA-branded tube set. A stunningly clean transitional “drip edge” example of the Princeton Reverb with source date codes on the transformers and speaker spanning late 1968 through the first weeks of’69, this amp retains the same circuitry as its Black Panel-era predecessor. Arguably the perfect portable Fender package, the Princeton’s size, wattage and tonal characteristics are well-suited to a wide range of studio applications while also being an ideal companion for club gigs. This amp delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when dimed out. The Reverb is lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The circuit is 100% original, and the stock transformers were manufactured for Fender by Schumacher (their primary transformer supplier in the 1960s), dating between the 51st week of 1968 and the 6th week of 1969. The preamp features brown molded caps, carbon comp resistors, and cloth-covered leads. The CTS pots have date codes spanning the 14th week of 1966 to the 7th week of’69. The original two-prong power cable is also present and can be swapped for a three-prong at the next owner’s discretion (no charge). The tube set includes all vintage RCA valves, all but one of which is original to the amp (one 6V6 power tube is an earlier RCA, and the pair is closely matched and properly biased). The Oxford 10J4 speaker has a clean black frame and blue foil Fender sticker on the ceramic magnet. The sticker on the edge of the frame dates to the 3rd week of 1969. The tube chart is also present inside the cabinet and practically perfect. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth present extremely well, and the faceplate is equally as pristine. All of the original hardware is intact, including the raised logo, handle caps, chassis straps, and sphinx glides (feet).

Up for sale, a 1968 Fender Bassman head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This clean and well maintained vintage Fender head has transitional “drip edge” aluminum trim and an early Silverface faceplate, as well as the AA568 circuit. Recently retubed and biased with a pair of Sovtek 6L6 power tubes, this amp has a clear, powerful Fender tone that’s ideal for use with guitar or bass. The perfect platform for players who use a variety of pedals, the Bassman delivers a robust and dynamic tone, and after around 5 on the Volume dial the amp starts to push into smooth, lightly compressed tube overdrive. The circuit features original Schumacher transformers that both date to 1968, along with original CTS pots which also date to’68. The circuit features a professional recap of the power supply, as well as a new bias capacitor and a couple new caps and resistors in the preamp to ensure everything is operating within original factory spec. An additional knob was at one time added to the faceplate and subsequently removed, filled with a clean chrome plug. A three-prong power cable has been installed as well. The chassis itself is quite clean, with a stunning silverface faceplate, turquoise lettering, and original black witch hat knobs. The original tube chart is also present inside the head cabinet, with only the light wear on the top left edge. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe are intact and in great shape, and the stock aluminum trim is present as well. The stock corners, handle caps, and sphinx glides (feet) are also intact, while the piggyback clip bars are no longer present. Cosmetically, there is very little wear to report, with a few tiny scratches near the input jacks and a light scuff or two on the enclosure, but as the photos show, this is an extremely clean and well cared for vintage Fender Bassman head! Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Pro Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, freshly recapped and retubed. A transitional model with “drip edge” aluminum trim and Silverface cosmetics, this amp still retains the same AA165 circuitry as its Blackface predecessor, as well as being one of the last Pros to retain the screwed-in baffle, a tonally impactful feature phased out by’70. Providing the general tonal character of a Twin Reverb, but boasting a tube rectifier and more manageable 40 watts of power, the Pro Reverb is a 2×12 amplifier with enough volume for large ensemble situations and the perfect balance between shimmering Blackface cleans and smooth, touch-sensitive overdrive. A great platform for effects pedals too, the cleans on this Pro are balanced, clear, and warm. Of course once you reach around 5 on the volume dial, things start to compress slightly, and you get that dynamic, glassy sound that adds just the right amount of grit to your tone. The tube-driven Reverb has plenty of splash and dimension, and the Tremolo has a strong, smooth pulse and wide range of speeds. The circuit has just been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, and the preamp is loaded with low-noise metal film resistors, original brown molded capacitors, and modern Sprague electrolytics. All of the stock CTS pots are intact, with visible date codes from 1967-68. The original power and output transformers are intact, along with the original choke, all manufactured by Schumacher and dating between mid-1968 and early’69. The small reverb transformer is a modern replacement. The power supply has been freshly recapped with Sprague Atoms, and a modern three-prong power cable has been installed. The tube compliment includes a pair of JJ 6L6 power tubes, along with a JJ GZ34 rectifier, and an assortment of mostly JJ valves in the preamp as well. The speakers are the original pair of Utah-made and Fender-branded 12 ceramic drivers with matching date codes from the 47th week of’68. The original speaker harness is intact too, as is the tube chart. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe is intact, and the tolex is extremely clean, while the grillcloth shows modest, uniform aging. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe are intact, with a few bald corners on the otherwise very clean tolex, and light, uniform aging of the grill. The original faceplate shows a speckling of light wear with a full compliment of witch hat knobs, and the hardware includes original chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and small raised Fender tail-less logo. This vintage Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 50 years of use.
