For sale is a clean, serviced and great sounding EICO ST40 tube integrated amplifier. It has been fully serviced, cleaned, and tested, and it is ready to provide 20 watts of tube power for your system! See condition description and photos for details. New tubes EH 7591 and JJ, capacitors, all done to original specifications. No upgrades or mods. Cosmetically mostly clean, very slight imperfections including very light scuffs on the cage and small scratches on faceplate, one noticeable scuff in the upper right corner on the faceplate. Other than that, it looks and sounds great. Don’t miss out on a restored piece with a fantastic phono stage! Power output: 20 watts per channel into 8 (stereo). Frequency response: 40Hz to 20kHz. Total harmonic distortion: 1%. Input sensitivity: 3mV (MM), 360mV (line). Speaker load impedance: 4 to 16. Valve complement: 2 x 12AX7, 4 x 12DW7, 4 x 7591, 1 x GZ34. Dimensions: 403 x 130 x 333mm. EICO HF-81 VINTAGE INTEGRATED STEREO TUBE AMPLIFIER. Upgraded (including capacitors) and serviced in 2016 by Scott Frankland Associates in San Jose, California. Bench tested on January 10, 2019 — fully functional — sounds great. Relatively good mechanical and cosmetic condition for its age (see pictures). Includes complete set of 12 vacuum tubes (see pics). 2 x JAN Phillips 12AX7WA (phono stage). 2 x PrimaLuna 12AU7 (input stage). 2 x Tung-Sol 12AX7 (driver stage). 4 x Electro-Harmonix EL84EH (matched quad – power amplifier). 2 x Eico EZ-81/6CA4 (power supply rectifier). All tube sockets and tubes will be marked with masking tape to show where to reinsert them. The HF-81 Integrated Amplifier will be packaged with the utmost care.. 1 Amplifier will be sealed inside of plastic to keep out packing materials and dust. 2 Sealed amplifier will be wrapped with bubble wrap, as will all tubes, each individually wrapped. 3 Bubble wrapped amplifier and tubes will be placed into box with compressible packing peanuts. Vintage Eico HF-86 tube power amplifier in good overall working and looking condition. Powered up slowly and it sounded good with no hum and had equal levels. Power tubes are EL84-6BQ5-7189 and were tested to be good. From a recent estate sale, past owner was a smoker so it is dirty from years of exposure. While working, it should be checked over by a tech to use on a continuing basis. Nice and desirable tube type amp for your collection. EICO HF-81 Vintage INTEGRATED STEREO. Cosmetically it’s in good condition with minimal scratches. I did not cleaned the front because the lettering may came out. Please see all the pictures for details of cosmetics. More detailed pictures will be send upon request. One of the tubes (EZ81) is not good, I will replace it and put a new picture. This is a very nice example of a very desirable amplifier, could use a full restoration but is a good starting point that is plug and play.
