Vintage Tube Amp

This amp circuit was originally built by At Mars, then I tweaked it a bit more and put it in the vintage ammo can. I have played this next to amps/circuits by all of the above builders and it totally hangs but with a unique voice. Comes with vintage/tested tubes.

It is a push pull amplifier, that utilizes a 5y3 rectifier tube, two 6v6 power tubes, with 6j5 triode and 6j7 pentode octal preamp tubes. No tubes are included or available. Mod or convert into a guitar amp, or use it for parts, these are awesome transformers for a 5e3 or related amp.

This is an old amplifier from a filmosound projector. Great platform for a custom build, perfect candidate for a guitar amp mod. Please see pictures and ask any questions.

Filmosound open back 179 vintage style project. Empty unfinished open back pine head. Cabinet is 16” wide x 9” tall x 7-1/8. Chassis is not included. As a condition of this sale. The front control is removable. These are sample photos similar to the cabinet you will recieve. Please let me know how you will be finishing this cabinet so I can make the proper space allowances for vynal covering, piping and grill fabric, or a natural finish and so forth. Please note : This cabinet will need further sanding and prep work prior to a natural finish. The vintage tube amp you see in the photos is not included. Is made of 1/2” birch plywood and the control. Opening is 8-1/4″ wide x 1-3/4” and sets back 5/16″. I take a lot of pride in every cabinet I build as you will see when you receive the cabinet. I do not stock any cabinets and I make them as the order comes in. I have fabricated thousands of cabinet and sell them all over the world. I do not have all the big overhead that these big companys have, thus I pass the savings on to you. All the cabinets I build are fabricated in my shop, one at a time, out of 3/4 pine that I select and assembled using strong beautiful halfblind dovetail glued joinery. On this cabinet, the front panel is made of 1/2 baltic birch. I then router the exterior corners so you can easily install standard corner protectors if you so choice. Please note : will need more sanding and prep work prior to a natural finish. Please send me your inquire and I will try to answer it as best I can. Vintage Bell & Howell Filmosound 179 Mono Tube Amplifier – Untested. Appears in nice cosmetic condition, clean pull. You can view that. But was told by an Ebayer the amp may be a 185? Do not know, you decide. The projector was 179 for sure. For parts or repair only. Please see all pictures and use zoom feature. Often the pictures describe the item better than words.
