Estate fresh, working1960′s Fisher 500-C tube amp.

For sale is a pair of Fisher 50-AZ amplifiers in beautiful original condition. I have owned these for many years but never got around to restoring them. The serial numbers are 327XX and 327XX and they’re about 20 apart. This makes them quite a find. It appears to me that these are mostly, if not completely original. They have not been turned on for decades. With that being said, don’t even think about using these as they are. They will absolutely need to be restored before they are used or plugged into any outlet. If you would like me to do the work for you, let’s discuss. I guarantee the transformers are good but make no guarantees about the condition of the tubes. You’ll likely want to go NOS on the power tubes anyway. 12AU7s are all US made. Cosmetically, these amplifiers are nice, but the chassis are not perfect. It appears that someone improperly cleaned one of the amplifiers and the other does have some light oxidation. This is typical and it’s rare to find one of these without some level of cosmetic age related issues. Heck, I’m almost sure some of these scratches/imperfections were on the units when they were made. I know how to pack these properly and have the materials on hand to do so. I sell mostly vintage electronics. As such, these items are old and typically out of spec from when they were new. I do my best to test these items and make sure they work before they’re sent out, but I do not guarantee or represent that they will meet the original specifications. I may not even be able to test them, in which case assume that they don’t work. However, there are times where I may miss something. If that happens, I hope that you would agree that the most efficient way to take care of an issue is if you simply message me before opening a case or doing anything else. I need an outlet for these items online, so I have no reason to send you something that doesn’t work unless I’ve noted that it doesn’t. I pack items correctly. I know what it takes to get an item to you safely. You will NOT have to ask for it. I will do my best to get items out within a few days, however there are instances where that is not possible especially around holidays. The policies here are difficult in this regard because these vintage items in particular need to be moved and packed carefully. I do not want to damage anything by rushing. This is a beautiful fully working Fisher EL84 tube amplifier. Unit was fully restored and has never given me any trouble over the years ive owned it. Iron transformers are all original Fisher. Tubes have all been tested and have all tested strong! Tubes are a mix of older US made tubes. Output tubes are matched Mullard EL84′s. Cosmetically the faceplate has some patina but still nice looking. All Knobs are original and switchgear was recently cleaned. Phono section sounds excellent as well as all other inputs. Fisher KX-200 Stereo Master Tube Amplifier & KX-60. This is a working tube amp with receiver. Everything on this has been tested, and it sounds great. The amp still has the original Fisher Tubes. There are cosmetic blemishes on the Amplifier. It is missing a knob and and a couple knobs are missing the faceplate as shown in the pictures. Some of the knobs are a little stiff when you turn them, but should be OK. There are a couple of light scratches on the case, but nothing major. This amplifier powers on AND I CAN SEE THAT THE FOUR TUBES ON THE REAR TURN ON. This item powers on, I DID NOTICE THAT THERE IS ONE TUBE WITH BROKEN GLASS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE STEREO THE TUBE IS BROKEN FROM THE BOTTOM, AND THERE IS ONE TUBE ON THE LEFT SIDE HAS A WHITE SPOT ON THE TOP AS PICTURED, OTHER THEN THAT I DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA OR CLUE ABOUT THIS ITEM OR IT’S FUNCTIONALITY. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THIS ITEM WILL WORK. SOME OF THE TUBE’S TERMINALS BASE PINS ARE BEND AND OUT OF SHAPE. 1960′s Fisher 500-B Stereo Tube Receiver in excellent working condition. Plays loud and clean on both channels with great fidelity. Great matching construction set of vintage 7591 tubes, 3 test very good to NOS range, 1 a bit lower, but biasing up fine. Just serviced by my technician. Cleaned all controls & switches. Aligned FM Tuner and MPX Front End. Reduced dial cord tension, lubed tuning. Adjusted Output Bias Voltage. Fair Faceplate and Cosmetics. Has some wear a shown. See all pictures for further description. Very good shape for age but has minor scratches, marks, imperfections etc. Not for total neophytes. Vintage gear requires some knowledge. Nice Vintage Brass Face Fisher X-1000 Stereo Tube Integrated Amplifier in Wood Cabinet. If you know this machine then you know that it is a very complex over engineered? The preamp section has a number of unusual circuits. The Aux inputs are tied directly to the Tape Monitor inputs. There is a strange Center Channel circuit. There are also 2 features called’Spacexpander’ and’Dimension’. Typically, these features are disabled or modified for modern listening usage. There is also a 9 pin socket at the rear for a remote control unit. In this particular unit the Remote Control socket has been bypassed. The 2 resistors and 2 capacitors that tie the Tape Monitor to the other Inputs have been removed to give a Tape Monitor a clear pathway past the noisy gimmicky circuitry. Line inputs into the Tape Monitor sound fantastic. Nice, quiet and clean. All of the other Inputs work but are somewhat noisy to my ears. The Power Amp works fine and the bias adjusts properly. The preamp tubes are mostly original Fisher branded Telefunkens. The output tubes are all Mullard (2 branded Tesla; 1 GE and 1 Daystrom). One of the amber jewels on the front panel has been replaced.
