This versatile tube combo amplifier is perfect for both bass and guitar players looking for that classic Fender tone. 30 watts of all-tube power. Two channels: Normal and Bass. Controls: Volume, Treble, and Bass for each channel. Bright switch on Normal channel. Deep switch on Bass channel. Chrome-plated control panel with blue labels. Original black tolex covering with silver grille cloth. Raised chrome Fender logo on the grille. Whether you’re a collector or a player, this Bantam Bass amp is a great piece of Fender history. Channels: 2 (Normal and Bass). Tubes: 2x6L6GC, 2×7025, 1x12AT7, 1x5U4. Weight: Approximately 57 lbs. Dimensions (Overall): 25″ W x 24-1/2″ H x 9-1/2 D. CONDITION NOTE: Used, but this amp is in good condition for its age (see pictures and on some marketplaces see video showing operation). It produces the warm, rich tone that vintage Fender amps are known for. This equipment has been tested and appears that the Bass Channel is working as expected while the Normal Channel is not working correctly, possibly due to a bad capacitor. Due to its age, this equipment does have scratches, dirt, and some surface rust on metal parts (see pictures). Original Fender Bassman black equipment cover is included, but is worn, torn on top left side, and a bit dirty, but still nicely protecting this amp. This is a very nice Ampeg V7 amplifier with spring reverb. Tested and working and in good cosmetic condition with some corrosion to the faceplate. The four feet on the bottom and handle are intact. Channel switching foot pedal is not included. Includes tubes, two of the power tubes are vintage 6550 and two are newer aftermarket. Up for sale is this vintage Gretsch 6159 tube amp. The amp was made in 1965 by Valco. It is all original with 2 Jensen 12 speakers (both dating to 1965) and it still has the 2 prong power cable. Don’t let the “bass amp” logo fool you. These amps were made with the intention of them being used for bass, guitar, and/or accordion. I have been using the amp for guitar and it sounds amazing! It currently has Groove tube power tubes and all of the other tubes are RCA. It has an incredible tremolo that I would compare to that of a Magnatone. I prefer this tremolo over any other new or vintage Fender amp I’ve tried. The tremolo is very smooth with nice depth to it. Overall, the amp is in very good condition, especially considering it is over 50 years old. There are some marks in the tolex, a few stains and small snags in the grill cloth, and some oxidation on the chrome parts. It is rare to find one of these in all original condition and in this good of shape. Most of the examples I’ve come across have 1 or both grill cloth badges broken and have undergone modifications.
