This is a good one! Vintage B&H Filmosound tube amplifier in good overall condition. Unit powers on and works well, one can even overdrive the tubes for a distorted sound! As with any vintage electronics this unit will need to be serviced before it is 100%. Includes power cord and speaker. Is missing three of it’s four bottom screws. This is a Vintage 1950′s Bell & Howell Filmosound 385 Custom Tube Guitar Amp Speaker Cab Project. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with light wear from use and age. The amp worked when it was last in use. The tubes are used and may be original to the amp, I have not tested the tubes for strength and they may need to be replaced. This is for the amp shown only. This listing is for a Vintage Bell & Howell 25L6 MonoBlock Tube Amp, Model 05311, from a Filmosound 179 Projector. The tube lineup is 3 x 25L6, 1 x 6SL7, 1 x 6AK6 and a 6953. We think that it is a series string design, with two of the 25L6 tubes providing power output, driven by the third, but we don’t guarantee that. Pulled from a projector that was removed from service and placed in storage. In fair cosmetic condition, there may be other flaws that we did not notice. Vintage Bell & Howell PP 25L6 MonoBlock Tube Amp from Filmosound 179, Amplifier. Condition is Unknown, but they all look good. I have four available. Check my other auctions if you want more than one! You had better know what you are doing when working on these! I generally bring these up on a variac very slowly to re-form the caps and often find them to need very little to make them functional. Tweak the circuit to your personal taste, of course! Includes all tubes, but not a power cord… You’ll really need to convert these to a 3-prong grounded cord for safety anyway!
