It appears to be all original and very well taken care of, but we are sending it off to our pro tech to get it serviced and fully recapped as necessary. Please inspect the photos yourself to determine the condition and components. In excellent shape, and will be fully functional. The special thing to about this unit is it is serial number 128C1, and these started at 100C1 in 1961 making this the 28th one ever produced. Quite rare to find such a clean early example, definitely a collectible and valuable unit for diehard McIntosh fans. The internals photos show the unit unserviced, and any components replaced out will be included. We will provide another photos of internals after servicing is completed. Here’s a used vintage McIntosh MC225 Tube power amplifier. In working condition, all NOS Sovtek power tubes, and the rest of the 12au7, 12ax7 and 12bh7 are older strong testing vintage US tubes. I recently got this out of storage, powered it up slowly with a variable voltage variac to allow the electrolytic capacitors to reform. No hum is present & sounds great. Aside the vacuum tubes, it looks to be all original & untouched inside, 2 prong cord is still on it. No tube cage is included. Shows some signs of age, wear & tear.
