Here is a Beautiful Vintage Original McIntosh Industrial type MI-200 / A-109 / K-107 Mono Monoblock Tube Amplifier with Power Supply. Amplifier A-109 Part of K-107 Serial Number 554. It comes with M-149H & M-168 transformers and the following tubes 2- 8005, 2- 6BX7, 2- 6AU5, 12AX7 and 12AU7. The MI-200 power supply is D-106 part of K-107 Serial Number 579. It comes with M-147C & M-148A transformers and 4- 5U4 and a solid state 5Y3 as shown. These came out of a Tektronix lab and were in operation until fairly recently. I brought them up slowly on my variac and it passed audio fairly well. There is some minor hum and a little distortion at higher volumes so I’m sure they will need a full tune-up. The power supply AC cord should be replaced as well. This will make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection. I will also be listing an additional MI-200 Power Supply. Vintage Mcintosh MC225 Tube Amplifier Early 1960′s. This was used as a sound system for a small chapel built in the early 1960′s, the chapel has been renovated and the sound system replaced. This was tested on a set of Infinity speakers using a CD player. The internal components seem original and have not been tested. There are loose internal parts and surface pitting. For sale is a pair of Mcintosh Mackit-30 amplifiers. These amplifiers were made for only a single year and are extremely rare. The chassis and parts are screwed together and not riveted, making restoration much easier. These units have not been turned on in over 30 years and worked the last time they were used. Serial numbers are close, but not consecutive. For their age, they are in excellent condition with normal scratching and light pitting along with a few light rust spots. Before these are used, they will need to be serviced. One amplifier has a chassis flaw that is slight, the but steel isn’t folded as cleanly as I’m used to from McIntosh. These will need to be serviced by a qualified tech before use. These are far too valuable to plug-in with the nearly 60 year old parts inside. Expect that you’ll need to replace the power tubes (and some of the others) as well. Please message me if you have any gear for sale but dont want to deal with listing! You do not need to live near me. I sell mostly vintage electronics. As such, these items are old and typically out of spec from when they were new. I do my best to test these items and make sure they work before theyre sent out, but I do not guarantee or represent that they will meet the original specifications. I may not even be able to test them, in which case assume that they dont work. However, there are times where I may miss something. If that happens, I hope that you would agree that the most efficient way to take care of an issue is if you simply message me before opening a case or doing anything else. With the exception of the power cords, I believe this pair to be in all Original condition. These are just 2-components that are from a house full of Electronics that were part of my late Uncle’s huge estate of Vintage Stereo / Hi-Fi Equip, Speakers, Parts & Accessories. These amplifiers had been stored in a closet for some time and were tubeless. Further searching revealed a huge box of vacuum tubes including the box of pictured set Electro-Harmonics tubes that were apparently intended for these two MC60 amplifiers. Judging by the appearance of the tubes & their boxes, its logical to assume these tubes were in fact unused. So, I installed all of the tubes in their appropriate positions, connected both amplifiers to a matching McIntosh pre-amplifier, connected a CD player & some old B&W speakers and listened to a variety of CDs at different volume levels for approx. Both amplifiers sounded clear to me with equal amount of volume and nothing changed. I have zero experience with tube equipment. I do realize however because of their age, at least 60 years right? That any internal part or tube can fail at any time. So be advised, both should be inspected, perhaps adjusted and / or up-dated for Best preformance by a qualified technician or experienced hobbyist. Certainly with someone having more knowledge & experience than I have concerning these vintage components. Cosmetically both Amplifiers have issues. But I feel they are in great condition considering their age. I truly did my best to provide revealing pictures for all to see. You know, it certainly isn’t easy to get great pictures considering the reflective nature of the Chrome Chassis. So please examine all pictures and judge for yourself and ask questions? If you are searching for a pair of “perfect” MC60 amplifiers, you need to continue your search. Anyway, I’m sure ultimately that someone can have many years of enjoyment with these preserved & unspoiled classic pair of McIntosh Stereo history. Even though both will be very carefully packed, It’s always possible for items to sustain shocks that alter their working condition & at the same time result in no obvious physical damage, OR for a part to fail simply due to age.
