Bought this to restore, but never got around to it. Put tubes in it last week, plugged it in, and tubes did not glow. Thats as far as I have gotten. Good and bad things about the amp. The output transformer housings are in pretty good shape. Minor nicks here and there to the black paint, but no major dents. Stickers look good too. Internal wiring looks pretty decent overall. The chrome chassis isnt in the best shape though. Chrome is pitting and rusting and almost all of the silk screening is gone. Missing a few screws for the bottom cover and the speaker terminal section. I will include the gold speaker adapters shown. Those are shown installed and will be included. McIntosh MC240 stereo tube amplifier. I have not tried to plug this unit in because I do not have a variac. There is some pitting on the chrome but not very much. Most of the silkscreen has been removed by polishing by a prior owner. There is a full compliment of tubes but they have not been tested to know if they are good. The four large 6L6-GC tubes are original RCA made for McIntosh. There is a rare tube cage included. The original capacitors have been replaced with quality SiderealKaps. The connectors have obviously been updated but I dont know the extent of the work or when it was done. Low ball offers will be politely ignored. Pair of UNTESTED/NON WORKING HARE model #210 tube amplifiers. The only information that I could find on ther net is the link below. Dr Donald Hare started in the manufacturing of theater tube amplifiers for Cinerama in the late 1940s. These amps use 6146 outputs so that should be about 75 watts of output power.
