Non tested, but fuses are not blown. These Ampex tube amplifiers are well regarded for their build quality, particularly the Triad output transformers. These are a very clean all original pair, with only one non original output tube. The 12au7s and EF86 tubes are Amperex. The rest are GE with the exception of one Sylvania 6973. The cords are cut because they were crumbling when I removed them from the console, and they were basically bare wires. See preamp and tuner to be listed in the coming days. Nice pair of Vintage W5M Mono block HiFi tube power amps. These were my main amps for a few years after they were fully rebuilt. 30 watts per channel (amp). Cosmetically and electronically excellent and ready to run. These are not full of cheap Russian tubes, but have nice mostly old USA tubes and sound amazing. These are 6L6 based Williamson style amps, and each uses a pair of 12AU7′s in the preamp and driver stages, and a 5R4 tube rectifier. I installed a pilot light in one of them. One has the larger “old” style output transformer, and one has the “new” type. Both are Peerless of course. Some guys say the older larger one has better bass, while some guys say the newer one has special nickel plated laminates and sounds even better with more “clarity”. Read about them on the interweb. I couldn’t tell the difference in everyday use as differences in room. Will have more of an impact, but suit yourself. Any difference is very subtle if even detectable, (and I used large Altec 604-8G studio monitor speakers). Pair of Vintage Ampex Tube Monoblock Amplifiers 30watt Restored! Had my service tech go through and replace all needed caps. These are great sounding monos. Both are identical in restoration. I installed some very nice amperex/Japan. All level and 90% plus. Clear top rca 12ua7 tubes. Amperex bugle boy ef86. Just a cool manual. Cords have been replaced with new. Rca were still clean so opted not to replace. These are great amps. You will not be disappointed. These have very little noise. I ran this with the Conrad premier ten. Pair of Vintage AMI Tube Monoblock Amplifiers 20 watt very nice working. Each amp has 2- 12AU7A TUBES , 1- 5U4G TUBE, 1- 6L6A TUBE AND One tube that I cannot make out the size of 5u4g. Both of these amps work great. They have been modded to have only the front control for volume. Other controls here are set up not to work. Anyone looking at these should know what they are. Number 6 is positive and Number 8 is negative for speakers. These are in excellent cosmetic condition.
