Vintage Tube Amp

All original (as far as I can tell) down to 2 prong plug. Plug is damaged but is easily upgraded to the safer 3 prong, still plugs in and works. Left this amp as I found it, easily modified, recaped or repotted. All tubes match tube chart and look original, RCA 5GTE, RCA 6V6GT, MULLARD 12AX7. Tolex and speaker grill in awsome shape for 52 years old. Sounds good, very little noise or hum for ungrounded plug. Fender speaker in great shape. Corners tight and undamaged. All 3 pots work and adjust with very little noise but volume does not stop at 1 and 10, treble is perfect, bass does not stop at 1. These are easy fixes for someone who works on these. Normal light corrosion on metallic parts, normal light blemishes. More detailed pictures available upon request. Feel free to ask questions. U p for sale is a vintage Zenith stereo tube amplifier with pre-amp. The pre-amp has one 12AX7, and the main amp has 4 EL84s, two 12AU7s, and one 5u4GB. It has all original tubes, some with made in Holland printed on them. Everything works and it sounds fantastic. It has a volume and balance knob, as well as bass, treble, presence, and input selector knob. It is very easy to dial in the right sound. This amp uses an RCA input on the pre amp. I cleaned a large portion of the old dusty gunk off of the surface with steel wool and it now has a mild shine and I made sure to vacuum all of the steel wool residue up with a soft bristle attachment. The vintage 1964 Vox AC30 is universally considered one of the most legendary in holy grail amplifiers from the past 50 years – a true British icon! The combo appears mostly all original (including transformers), except from 2 upgraded Celestion G12s-50 speakers & a changed logo / tone knob along with potentially changed minor service components. There’s no footswitch included in the sale & I believe the trem/vib effect is not quite functioning right (to my ears) – it’s either on (fast) or off & the speed knob doesn’t currently change the speed.. Though the footswitch might simply be required for this feature to function correctly. We got this from the estate of a longtime professional guitarist and local legend who toured with the likes of Haggard, Milsap, etc. Hes now retired and decided to sell some of his collection. Hes a bit of a tinkerer and modified the amp a bit- replacing the original speaker with a Mesa. The outlet cord and tubes appear to also be replaced. At some point he also removed the volume/boost clicker- so not sure if its in the regular or boost mode. Regardless, the tone is superb, earthy, and growls nicely at about 8 or 9. Theres also used a dab of paint as a marker on the volume knob. He said its a 1977 model but may be older. He also served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam and proudly added a patch on the bottom and a sticker on the side. Other issues are it could use a bit of a clean and the metal grill has some age spots.
