12AX7-12 for the first stage AU7-6GU7 (1 2BH7 similar tube)-6240 G, and the end stage is a KT88 made in China. The operation has been checked with TV7 and it is unused. So, the sound is coming out without any problem as it is now, but the KT88 is not a problem. The KT88 is a bonus. The life of the vacuum tube has been checked by TV7 before the sale, so I think it can be used for a long time. However, the neon pilot lamp of one of the tubes is broken and does not light up, although it does not affect the sound. The plate current of the KT88 is adjusted to 50ma. I can give you a copy of the manual (excerpt) of the A3000 (kit version) as a reference when replacing the output tube. International Buyers – Please Note. Both units are still in decent physical condition. There are some marks and scratches, but no dents or damage. All tubes are intact and working well. 1 Pair of Vintage Marantz 5 Monoblock Amplifiers Tube Amp Lot. Units power on as we brought them up slowly on a variac, all tubes come on. These amps were acquired by us a couple years back from an audiophile collection, back then we did test them and seem to remember there was issues with one if not both of the meters but they were producing sound back then. Due to the age of the items we would recommend them being serviced either way. These are in relatively good condition for their age; there is some scratches, scuff marks, stains, chips and dings; there is some noticeable marks on the side of one of the amps. Also a previous owner etched #s on the back panels of both units; not sure if there is a trick to filling them in to make it less noticeable. These units are getting harder to find; we were hesitant to even list them as we know we probably won’t ever own another pair.
