Removed from a model 4100 organ. Unit powers on but no sound output when connected to the auxiliary output. Maybe its just a line level out. Missing pedal volume control. Pair of 7868 outputs. 2x 12ax7s by amperex made in Holland. Should be an easy project.
This Bogen DB20 mono tube amplifier is a recent “barn find” survivor, housed in its original wooden case. The case measures approximately 17 inches wide, 11 inches deep, and 11 inches tall. This unit is in original, unrestored condition and appears to have been in long-term storage for many years. While the exterior has been cleaned, please note there is surface staining on the metal chassis and a slight musty scent consistent with its barn storage history. In an initial safety test, the unit powered on quietly and the vacuum tubes showed a healthy glow. However, during a subsequent attempt to film a video of the unit, I heard a sizzling sound and noted a burning scent. I immediately disconnected the power to prevent any damage to the transformers. Condition & Restoration: I have listed this unit in the “For parts or not working” category. It contains all-original 1950s internal components, including capacitors that have clearly reached the end of their service life. Additionally, the original power cord is in rough shape and must be replaced. To ensure safety and reliability, this amplifier must be thoroughly inspected and serviced by a qualified technician before any future use. This is a “pure” restoration project and a fantastic find for a collector or audiophile. The wood case and internal transformers remain the primary value of this unit.

EICO HF-81 Integrated Tube Amplifier – Restoration Candidate – Working Iron. Some units are plug-and-play. This is not one of them. This EICO HF-81 is a largely original example and should be viewed as a restoration project. The transformers appear healthy, but the amplifier will require electronic servicing for stable, long-term operation. This is for someone who will selectively change parts for stability but retain the sonic character the HF-81 is famous for. Operational Status (Please Read Carefully). Powered up slowly on a Variac. Output transformers pass signal. Video included demonstrating that both channels produce output. One channel is weaker and exhibits distortion. The stronger channel distorts at high volume. Power switch (integrated into treble knob) does not function properly. Unit is likely running on original capacitors. Given its age, full recap and restoration is recommended before regular use. Tube Complement (Installed & Working). The original Eico factory installed tubes tested weak or shorted and were replaced with. Quad Sylvania EL84 / 6BQ5 – New old stock (NOS) and new in box (NIB). Tubes are functional, but the distortion issue suggests underlying circuit components (likely caps or resistors) require attention. Classic gold faceplate with vintage wear. Appears largely unmodified internally (based on current inspection). Why This Is Worth Restoring. The HF-81 is widely regarded as one of the most musical EL84 integrated amplifiers ever made. Properly restored examples command strong market value and are known for. Balanced push-pull EL84 output. Highly respected transformer set. The transformers are the heart of these units – and this one passes signal. Collector seeking original platform for rebuild. If you’re looking for a fully restored, daily-use amp, this is not that listing. If you want a strong foundation with working iron and upside potential, this is an excellent candidate. Will require recap and service. Distortion present in one channel. Power switch requires repair. See video for operational demonstration.
The King of British Boost: Colorsound Overdriver. (by Sola Sound) is one of the most powerful and touch-sensitive drive pedals ever built. It isn’t just an overdrive; it’s a wide-band frequency shaper that can take a clean tube amp and turn it into a fire-breathing stack. From the subtle “treble boost” chime used by David Gilmour to the full-blown fuzz-drive of the early 70s, this pedal is a masterclass in harmonic saturation. Why This Specific Unit? Many of these pedals have been crudely modified to accept a DC power jack. This unit has been meticulously “de-modded” by a professional pedal builder. While a mounting hole remains on the side, the. Internal circuit has been restored to its original, pure signal path. This circuit is famous for its massive output volume. It doesn’t just add dirt; it adds. Genuine Colorsound units are becoming increasingly difficult to source in the US. This is a chance to own a professional-grade “player’s piece” that looks and sounds incredible on a board. Because Colorsound pedals use a large-format chassis that can be prone to bending or denting if mishandled, I provide my. Signature Pro Pack Service. Protected against scuffs and moisture.
