Vintage 1970′s Fender Silverface Champ All tube amp…. This amp is special. About This Listing This amp is a masterpiece, a really really special Champ. It has been carefully restored by one of Austins finest vintage amp restorationists, to revive and capture the magical tone of Fenders finest vintage amps. Meticulous attention to detail was paid, down to the selection of vintage cloth wire, vintage leaded solder, and a broken in Weber speaker with matching specs to the original Jensen speaker, to ensure the original sound and full tonal potential of this amp is reached, and even exceeded to be closer in sound to a Black Face or Tweed Era Champ. This amp has the original caps, as they still test to original voltages, and are good. This Champs cabinet is actually a real-wood upgrade from the original Particle Board one that came stock. Its a sturdier, more robust cab that actually performs better too, as the resonant qualities are superior with stronger, finger-jointed wood. This cabinet is more like that of the original Fender Tweed and Black Face Era amps, than even stock CBS Silver Face Era Amps. So, in essence, this amp sounds more like an older Fender than even a completely original Silver Face Drip Edge Fender Champ. Ive played many older Fender amps, including original tweed, etc. Models, and this amp absolutely stands with the best Ive ever heard. It has a fiery punchy bass and mid response that is really surreal to hear coming from such a small package, with golden buttery chimey highs that are never harsh, even with a strat and the treble on 10. You wont want to put this baby away! The item “Vintage 1970′s Fender Silverface Champ All tube amp. Great sounding” is in sale since Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Here we have a very, very rare and wanted Amp. I think this one is an early one maybe 1957? Not totally sure of the year. This 213 Model was made between 57 and 62. Its in very very nice conditon. Tolex is in nice shape with some spots that look like maybe they almost caught the cigarette in time, lol. NO rips in either grill cloth. This amp was just gone through professionally. Replaced three tubes and these items were done Full cap job, Special order rare cap, Undate filters, bias cap, node resistors, plate load resistors. Like I said one hundred percent and ready to go. This amp is sixty years old and a piece of working history. But due to it being vintage, still a final sale. Again working 100 percent, sounds great and I had my professional do EVERYTHING he felt it needed. I would love to keep it. But have to pass it on. I would put it up against anything in that era, and it is rarer as well! I will make every attempt at pointing everything out that I can. NO renegociation of price will occur after the sale. Seems like this is a new scammer way to get a lower price. I will not stand for it. Again if something is severely off, I will handle it with you. Generally all sales are as is. Especially on old Electronics. I will let you know if its working or not.
