Scott Stereomaster 340 Receiver. Up for sale is a A rare used 1963 H. Scott Stereomaster 340 vacuum tube MPX receiver. All tubes were tested and they are good to N. The original four Amperex 7591 tubes test excellent at 8,500-9,250 umhos. Controls work but there is switching crackle in some. The unit is in excellent cosmetic shape with a few small marks that are shown in the images. The plastic tuning dial is missing. With the bottom cover off, everything inside looks original to the factory design. This unit does partially work but will need work to bring it back to factory spec. I have included a fairly hard-to-find owners manual and schematic for this unit. This is a highly sought after integrated tuner with great build quality. With some TLC this will make the centerpiece of a fantastic stereo system for someone looking to explore tube audio. The unit is very heavy and will be packed safely. I will pull some of the tubes and pack them in tube boxes.

Wood shows scratches on tops as shown. Normal wear to machine other then scratches. All that was tested were speakers hooked up to it and it played different channels of music. 8 of the bulbs are Telefunken brand. This amp still looks very good and works very well. No big scratches or damage. Has been thoroughly tested by a vintage audio technician and everything is working well. All inputs produce clear, powerful, and evenly balanced sound. Power ON but emits a loud humming noise through the speakers. If the main output capacitor is replaced, the noise cease. No further test were made. Lamps were tested with a lamp tester and they all tests good with variable degrees of wear. Cosmetic condition is good. Have original patina and has not been cleaned, only dedusted. Some wear on numbers “8″ and “10″ for the loudness knob. Some wear on text on the back as well. Stereo Selector knob is bumped slightly out of shape. Some bumps and light chips on the wood case. Missing at least one case screw. Visible traces that it has been opened in the past. Cord is in good condition. See pictures for details. Some parts will have to be replaced. This old HH Scott receiver had been stored in a garage for years, likely decades. It was pretty dusty but cleaned up reasonably well with some compressed air and brush. We removed the 7591 and 12AX7 tubes, but otherwise it’s exactly as we found it. Due to the fact that it’s sat so long, we’ve made no attempt to test it. It’ll likely need new capacitors or other components. If you prefer one carrier over the other, please make that request when paying for the item. This listing includes a beautiful vintage H. Scott 222C Stereomaster vacuum tube integrated laboratory amplifier in clean and electrically restored condition. This amplifier was restored approximately 6-months ago by the original owner. Some of the work that was done to this amplifier includes: testing all tubes and replacing any weak tubes, cleaned all controls and switches with DeOxit, replaced bad / out of spec capacitors, replaced any out of spec resistors, all solder joints have been inspected and any loose connections were re-soldered. After the restoration was complete, this amplifier was bench tested and it is in great working / sounding condition. As the photos show, this vintage amplifier is exceptionally clean inside and out and was well cared for and maintained over the years. The entire face still looks fantastic with clear lettering and all four corners are still sharp. All of the knobs are clean and in great shape. The original power cord is in good shape and is not brittle. All of the transformers and the chassis (inside and out) show only minimal wear and no corrosion. For sale is a used H. Scott Stereomaster tube integrated amplifier. The model number is LK-72-B. The pre-amp has been tested by me using a Scott 110-B Tuner. The amp sounds good in both channels. There is a small amount of static in the volume when turned up and down but quits when the knob stops turning. The faceplate looks pretty good. I have not tested the strength of the tubes.
