1928 WESTERN ELECTRIC ERA 250 TRIODE OUTPUT AMPLIFIERS that uses two 281 rectifier tubes and the TWO 250 OUTPUT TUBES in push pull configuration. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL EIGHT TUBES ARE NOT INCLUDED in this listing. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT BECAUSE OF IT’S AGE IT WILL NEED SOME RESTORATION. THE POWER CORDS SHOULD BE REPLACED OR AT LEAST TAPPED UP, and the power transformers are both tested good. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE TUBE SOCKET IS CRACKED BUT CAN BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. EASILY by the new owner , also note that the one amplifier has light surface rust that will need to be re-painted. The amplifier weight is about 60 LBS. I will pack well and you will get it in good condition with no damage. Bell Sound Systems Inc. Up For Sale is a Very Rare Bell Sound Systems 2145A Amplifier and Selector / Controller. They are about 60 years old and appear to be all original. Note:Unit was only powered up and all tubes seam to be lighting. I will pack this very carefully, double boxed, and remove all loose tubes for safe transport. Such equipment is dangerous even when turned off or unplugged. You shouldn’t be working inside the amp unless you know what you are doing. Matching pair of vintage Wurlitzer model 771 mono amplifiers. 1930S 45 PP type mono amplifiers. This can be convert to 2A3 PP type amplifier early with some bias adjust. Hard to find matching pair like this. These are all gone through by tech as you see on the pictures. Plug and play condition. Speaker 8 & 16 ohms. These are surprisingly very good sounding amplifier. All transformers are 100% original & guarantee. There four 45 triode tubes but these are not 45 PPP amplifiers. These are 45 PP type. Other two 45 tubes are for the power and front driver tubes. I have two custom made bottom cover for the amplifiers as you see on the pictures. These are never come with bottom cover originally. Rough dimension after packing. 24x12x14 30 pounds each amplifier. The Tube configuration contains the coveted Peerless S-240-Q and R-480-Q transformers. FULLY & METICULOUSLY RESTORED by Electro Ross Blomgren (RJB) in Gardena, CA. The Peerless A100A, a PP 6B4 or 6A5 amp, has some real technical attributes. First, this amp included a choke equipped passive EQ record compensation equalizer, but pre-RIAA. Altec’s engineers preferred pentodes up front for preamp and first amp stage duty. In fact, their amp front end definitely inspired Dynaco and must also be recognized as showing up here after the British Leak and soon to be seen Mullard front ends! It’s funny how some topology magically appears worldwide around the same time… Altec’s pentode is direct coupled to a 6J5, R-C coupled to a split load phase inverter 6J5, to a push-pull 6SN7, to push-pull cathode follower 6SN7, direct coupled to the center tapped choke loaded output triodes.
