This is a LUX SQ-38D vacuum tube amplifier. Being a very old used item, it has scratches from use, please check the photos for the condition. The amplifier was previously used by a family member as a hobby, but has been stored in a warehouse for about 20 years. When connecting a PC to AUX-1 and connecting speakers to SPEAKERS L R’s 0 and 8? , sound was confirmed on R, but no sound was produced on L. When connecting a PC to AUX-2 and connecting speakers to SPEAKERS L R’s 0 and 8? , sound was produced on both L and R. When connecting a PC to TAPE and connecting speakers to SPEAKERS L R’s 0 and 8? , sound was produced from both L and R, but the sound was muffled and quite poor. Operation of PHONO 1 and 2 has not been confirmed. The MODE was tested in stereo only; other modes were not checked. The BALANCE was responsive.
This is a used Lux vacuum tube amplifier that has been tested. It requires four 6RA8 vacuum tubes to operate (not included). Deteriorated components such as capacitors have been replaced. The main unit has scratches and rust, but there are no severe stains or dents.

THIS IS IN EXCELLENT COSMETIC CONDITION. ALL TRANSFORMERS ARE GOOD. IT USES 4 6BQ5, 3 12AX7 AND A 6CA4 RECTIFIER. SHOULD BE RECAPPED BEFORE USING. ALL TUBES ARE INCLUDED. WILL MAKE A GREAT WINTER PROJECT.
