Heathkit Receiver AA-100 Vintage Tube works neat face lighting. Cosmetically the receiver is in good condition for a unit 60 years old. Check out the photos to judge for yourself. I plugged a CD player into Aux2 and attached speakers and it worked with plenty of volume. The sound is slightly distorted but not bad since the capacitors are really old and the switches need to be cleaned. There is a small dent in the back of the chassis (see picture) that could be easily straightened if you remove the fuse holder. Check out the catalogue page pictured that describes this vintage receiver. This is an excellent candidate for a refurbishment and a fascinating piece of audio history marking the time when HI FI moved from monaural to stereo. There is a provision to control stereo separation and mixed-channel speaker to provide “center fill”. I will pack it securely with a heavy duty box lined with foam and the receiver wrapped in bubble wrap. This Amp is Model Dual 51 and it is a Tube Amp. We acquired this beauty from a friend of ours Estate Sale who had some very nice stuff. We took it to a professional and had it tested out and there was one tube that needed to be replaced, so it was replaced. It is in WORKING order and works just PERFECT. There is minimal wear on this amp, just a couple light scuffs, but very minimal. It looks as though this item was hardly used… Overall it is in EXCELLENT condition! This is a beautiful and very unusual mono amplifier and preamplifier made by Rauland. The Sams date is 1954. It has very large transformers and is heavy; very high quality output transformer. I put it on my bench and checked it out. I replaced several capacitors and the line cord.. It uses push pull 6L6 tubes in the output. The preamplifier is in the book enclosure. It allows you to set the cross over frequency, has both treble and bass controls, and a roll off control. It is a high quality set. It delivers more bass than I expected from an amp of the 50s. You will be the only one on the block who has this rare high quality set. Fantastic HH SCOTT 208 power amplifier that sounds amazing. It’s in perfect working condition and come with a full set of strong tubes. All original transformers are still in place. Many of the capacitors are original. The electrolytics were replaced with caps as close to the original value as possible. The output tube coupling caps were changed to pio Russian caps (original value). The bridge rectifier was replaced with a diode. A few out of spec resistors were replaced but most of the originals remain. The only modification was the addition of an in-rush limiter to lower the voltage a bit and help prolong the life of the tubes. Everything else was left the way HH Scott intended it to be. The bias can be easily checked and adjusted with a multimeter through the test point and pots on top of the amp. Tubes included are a strong set of 7591A Electro-Harmonix output tubes. 1 GE 5AR4, and 2 US 6U8A tubes. Please see the pictures for cosmetic condition, some lettering is missing. 32 watts per channel. Dual-level inputs: (1.5 & 2.5 volts) For me it worked best with a tube preamp. It’s worked perfectly for me. If you have any questions on using a tube amplifier please ask. They aren’t difficult to use, but there are some general rules that need to be followed to avoid potential damage to the amp. Will be packed very well with the tubes packed separately. Vintage Grommes Model 40PG Tube Hi Fidelity Amplifier Amp Rare Works. See all 12 pix. Watch Video on YouTube here. This is a working unit. I have gone over it, in and out. Lightly cleaned and dusted. De-oxed all controls and jacks. Pot Controls all work as they should. The power button on front didn’t work. So a switch was installed on the back of unit. Powered up and tested on aux and tuner inputs and it has good audio on both channels. Didn’t notice any hum but if you are planning to use this unit as a daily player you will want to replace all the Electrolytic capacitors. Has a few issues here and there like the fuse holder in the back is partly loose and one of the auxiliary power outlets in back is loose also. That’s about as far as I went on this unit.
