Vintage Tube Amp

Vintage Zenith Stereo Hi-Fi 6BQ5 Tube Amplifier Model 4K21 – See Video. We tested a turntable with it, and it was also working. We tested the 6BQ5 tubes with a tube tester, and both tested below the minimum good value of 50 (tested at 46 and 44) and had shorts. The 12AX7 was tested right at the minimum value of 32. We did not test the 5Y3. The last photo of the tube diagram was from the console it came from and is not included, for reference only. Cosmetically, it is in good condition with light wear and some marks/stains on the face. The amplifier may need updating or repair, even though it was functional, due to its age. Please see all the photos. It has Stancor Power Transformer 95-1953, 20VAC, 50/60 Cycles, 1386226. It has 2 output transformers by Ensign Coil (95-1957-AR, 1726218). The face measures 13-1/8 x 6. GREAT PAIR ZENITH 6A5G. Date Codes = ROR and YOR. TESTED on HICKOK TV7. Results = 68 and 68. Minimum Good = 38. All Tubes Tested on a Calibrated Hickok TV7 or Sencore TC136.

This is used with light wear and is in great condition. It has no bottom cover or top cover/cage. I believe this normally uses a 5U4GB rectifier, four EL84 output tubes, and two 12AU7 tubes. The tubes are not included. The rectifier is included. This has a few new caps underneath, but may need more work, though it will honestly probably work fine like this.

This is a tube amp pulled from a console cabinet… I believe it was pulled from an american console, Perhaps our rca ge not entirely sure. I’m listing as is parts, repair need servic.

IT IS IN EXCELLENT PHYSICAL CONDITION. IT HAS VERY NICE POWER AND OUTPUT TRANSFORMERS. AS WITH ANY AMP OF THIS AGE IT WILL NEED A RECAP. THIS WAS PULLED FROM A ZENITH EXTENSION SPEAKER CABINET. IT HAS A VERY LONG POWER CORD AND INPUT CABLE. EVERYTHING IS HERE TO MAKE A COOL 15 WATT GUITAR AMP. DON’T MISS IT!
