Ultra rare and incredible sounding Supro Supreme 1600R. Currently being reissued, but this is the real deal original vintage model. This particular model has the optional reverb output which went to a matching external model 600 Reverb-Only amp which we happen to have in another listing. The amp by itself has a killer, classic Supro/Valco tone and this model is rumored to be featured on some early Rolling Stones recordings. This amp is in great shape with minimal wear. It is missing the indicator light cover and the original Supro plastic logo, but both should be easy to find a replacement. Will be packed well and insured. These amps are in a rare excellent condition. Both were sent to a local repair shop for a complete service and restoration with new parts. Please see pictures for details. I do have the old parts, but unable to find it at the moment. If I do find them, I will include them if needed. These amps are in perfect working order producing wonderful powerful tube sound of 70 watts per unit. Here is the specification on this LA-70. These were built in 1958/59. These amplifiers are sturdily constructed with a heavy steel chassis and steel ventilated chassis cover. The LA-70 includes a single RCA input and 4, 8, and 16 ohm outputs as well as controls for bias level, bias balance and damping. Also included is a built-in meter with A-B switch for maintaining bias adjustment. The amplifier utilizes two KT88 or 6550 power output tubes, one 6AN8A preamp/phase inverter/driver tube, and one GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tube. Weight is approximately 35 lbs. With dimensions of 14.5″w x 12″d x 7.5h. Pair of LA-70 mono amps. 8 tubes: 4 large KT / 6550 GE tubes; 2 mid-size. GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tubes; 2 small. 6AN8A preamp/phase inverter/driver tube. This amp considered to be one of the best tube or any amplifiers ever made. The Citation II was recently sent to a local shop for a complete serviced.
