We are not tube experts, so please don’t send us a million questions about individual tubes, or questions about tubes that aren’t on the inventory list we provided. This huge bulk lot of vintage NOS (new old stock) vacuum tubes came straight out of a functioning and operational repair workshop. The tubes have been stored properly, with no water damage, corrosion, rust, or dust. The previous owner of these tubes was a professional radio, tv, and studio, and broadcast equipment repairman, and collected vintage audio gear and radio broadcast equipment. These tubes came straight out of his very clean and well-organized workshop. We assume that any tube that is still in a box is brand new, never used, while we think the loose tubes are PROBABLY tubes that have been used mildly, but still have life left in them. There are over 150 types of vacuum tubes in this lot, with a total count of over 400 pieces. A huge part of this lot are brand new, unopened, unused tubes. There are also bins of loose tubes of various shapes and sizes. Below you’ll find a full inventory of the boxed tubes. However we didn’t do a full inventory of the loose tubes, so those tubes and their quantities are not included in the inventory list. BUT, some of the bins are labeled, so there is a partial list of the types of tubes you can expect to see in the loose tube bins. Warning: due to the size of this lot, we were unable to inspect each individual tube in the bins and boxes. Please don’t freak out over small inconsistencies or sweat the small stuff. Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Harvard in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The Harvard is a unique model, sitting just below the Deluxe in terms of output with two 6V6 power tubes, a substantially sized cabinet, and a single Jensen P10R alnico 10 speaker. The Harvard also has the distinction of being the only Tweed era Fender model name to not make the transition to subsequent Brown and Blackface amp series. Essentially a Vibrolux without the vibrato, the Harvard delivers on the promise of sweet tube saturation, and the extremely dynamic, harmonic rich tones which are a hallmark of the narrow panel tweed Fender amps. Outfitted with simple Volume and Tone controls, it’s easy to dial in everything from glassy cleans to tube overdrive with the twist of a knob. The cabinet size (noticeably bigger than the Champ and Princeton) adds a certain low end fullness to the tone as well, with great bloom to the notes and a richness that’s particularly evident when played with a humbucker-equipped guitar. The 5F10 circuit is extremely clean and well maintained, with new electrolytic caps sleeved in the original Minimite wrappers. The circuit is otherwise untouched, retaining the famed yellow Astron tone caps in the preamp, and stock CTS pots, carbon comp resistors, and cloth wiring as well. The original transformers are intact with a Triad power transformer and Schumacher output tranny. The faceplate is extremely clean, with shiny chrome and all of the original white silkscreened lettering intact (which was truly hard to capture in a photo, given the reflection from the chrome). The original Jensen P10R speaker is clean and intact, with a minty teal frame and stock foil label. The tube chart is present and quite clean as well, denoting the 5F10 circuit and also still featuring a cleanly stamped “IB” date code, which translates to February of 1959. Other impactful date codes include the CTS pots which date to the 6th week of’59 and the stamp on the edge of the speaker frame which dates back to the 49th week of 1958. The original lacquered tweed is intact and lightly ambered. A well kept example, this amp shows only a few moderate scuffs and minor wear on the corners and along the edges of the tweed pattern. The leather handle is original, and of particular note, the badge on the face of the amp is also original and reads “Fender Deluxe, ” having been mislabeled at the Fender factory. The Harvard is commonly referenced as the “Steve Cropper amp, ” having been used extensively by that artist to capture the tones heard with Booker T and the MGs on tracks like Green Onions, and on other notable hits like Otis Redding’s Dock of the Bay. It’s amazing the fullness and character that can come out of this small, 6V6 driven 1×10 Fender Harvard! Vintage 1960′s Sears/Silvertone Model #1457 RED SPARKLE GUITAR TUBE AMP IN CASE. Rare Sears/Silvertone/Dandelectro sparkle red double cutaway with twin lipstick pickups, with built in (working amp) in case. ONLY issue is the common headstock split along the length of the tuners (please see pics). The crack HASNT made its way all the way through the front of the headstock, so a pretty seamless glue repair would be pretty easy to do for a repairman or someone with a little more skill than I possess. Because of the headstock issue, the guitar has not been re-strung with new strings. The amp was tested with a different guitar, and seems to work fine. A seldom seen guitar with a pretty simple repair AND you get an amp to boot. Sorry, I dont have the original foot switch. But I will include what I believe to be the original leather strap. Vintage 1960s Gibson Atlas Tube Head 6L6 (2) 6L6s Trans # 606429. I brought it up slowly on a Variac as it has been sitting for years. All the tubes lit up and it comes on and is louder than I remembered but after a few seconds it gets a background noise. I tested the tubes and they are all OK, so it must be caps. This Citation II amp was just taken into to be looked at by a qualified professional that works on these amps and builds his own tube amps from scratch This is what was found. The power supply needs some work as it is not putting out a constant correct current. The tech by passed the power supply and the amp was working. He said the capacitors could use some replacing as any amp would of this age but everything that is important was nice and sound including the most important part the transformers. Overall nice cosmetics and again a great candidate for restoration. Will be packed very securely. Vintage Multivox Premier 50 Tube Amplifier. The original leather handle was missing, so I replaced it with a handmade similar handle. The speaker that was in the amp was not original, and in poor condition. That was replaced by a vintage Jensen speaker. I then took the amp to a local amplifier repair shop and had anything that was not working replaced. That included one tube and several electronic components. I also had the Tech replace the 2-prong power cord with a 3-prong grounded cord. The two control knobs are original. Everything works, has a great sound. Sounds great with a harmonica. There is some corner wear, see close-up pics. There originally was a back panel, but this one is missing.
