Rare Vintage 1938 Rickenbacker 12 Electro Tube Amplifier – 5 watts. Up for sale here is this. 1938 Rickenbacker tube amp, most likely used with an electric lap steel guitar. This is possibly a 200A amp model. It is covered in its original canvas-style outer lining. This is one of the coolest vintage amps I’ve owned. The amp produces approximately 3-5 watts of power. It features two inputs and a volume control, as well as an on/off switch and power fuse. For the rest of the electrical. T has two 7N7 pre-amplifier tubes, two 7C5 power tubes and a 5V4 rectifier tube. The original 12 field coil speaker is installed, which I had re-coned. The wiring was previously updated with some new wires, three-prong plug, and capacitors. The original large capacitor, visible outside (looks like a metal can), is installed but bypassed. The original transformer is in place, boasting its engraved “Inca, Los Angeles” logo. The handle is new. It stands at around 16.5″ tall by 10″ deep and 16 wide. The amp has an extremely clean tube sound. From a volume standpoint, it is not as loud as modern amplifiers. Please message me with any questions. We typically respond within 24 hours.
