Hohner VINTAGE RARE 1960s Bartell Designed Contessa 55R 6L6 Tube Amp Head.

I’m letting go of a few things from from my collection, including this Precision Electronics PA25 vintage tube amplifier project. These make killer guitar amps! Can keep stock circuit, or chase F3nd3r or Dumbl3 circuits, etc. The amp is in good condition, and has an incredible look – needs typical updates like new. Servicing, desired mods/conversion – pictured tubes are included.

Up for your consideration today is an excellent PA estate sale find. Nice rare piece of mid-century audio equipment. Looks like this is a 6 tube amp, two 6V6 included. Front panel controls: Equal, Selector, Volume, Bass, Off/Treble. Unit is untested, see pictures for additional details. This would make for an excellent project! Be the one to own this today. This was found in a storage unit so I don’t have that info on it. It powers up and works. One tube may need to be replace or tweaked. I believe this is a custom? That used the 4001 to make a head unit? The serial number is super low at 00834 so I also don’t know if some. Where made like this. Very hard to find information about.

Plugged this in and the tubes faintly light up, but that is the extent of which I have tested it. Cosmetically in Greta condition, but could use a clean, there’s some dirt all around. See photos for condition and signs of wear.
