Up for sale, a 1976 Fender Vibrolux Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch and loaded with a bevy of vintage tubes. With good reason, the Vibrolux is one of the most desirable Fender models for its ideal size and power, well-suited to both stage and studio applications. The amp delivers sparkling cut and muscle, and a surprising amount of headroom, cascading into lightly compressed tube overdrive when pushing towards 10 on the Volume dial. Offering 35 tube watts through the original CTS alnico magnet 10 speaker pair, the Vibrolux is the perfect platform for getting the most out of a variety of guitars and stompboxes. Clean and sweet up til about 5 on the Volume knob (with a perceived volume that’s loud enough to keep up with an aggressive drummer), the Vibrolux has clear note attack and sweet tube rectifier sag, not to mention lush tube-driven Reverb and percussive Tremolo. The circuit is 100% original save for one capacitor, and all of the transformers are manufactured by Fender’s primary transformer supplier in this era, Schumacher, dating between late 1975 and early’76. Fully serviced, all pots, switches, jacks and tube sockets have been thoroughly cleaned, and even the original power supply caps are still viable. The preamp retains a full complement of original blue molded caps, and all of the original CTS pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 39th week of’75. The tubes are largely vintage, with a matched pair of Sylvania 6L6 power tubes and Fender-branded RCA-made valves in the preamp. The CTS alnico magnet 10 speakers are the original matched pair with black frames and (faded) blue Fender foil stickers on the alnico magnets. The date stamps on the edges of the frames are from the 22nd week of’76. These are also the same speakers seen in Super Reverbs of the era. The tube chart is intact inside the cabinet as well. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe are intact and extremely clean, with uniform darkening of the cloth. The hardware shows light surface patina on the original handle caps, chassis straps, corners, and sphinx glides (feet). The faceplate is also particularly well-kept with a full complement of witch hat knobs. The original two-button footswitch is included.

Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Bassman featuring the 5F6-A circuit, re-tweeded and loaded with a vintage quartet of Jensen P10P alnico magnet speakers. A professionally serviced example with a very original circuit, this Bassman boasts 45 all tube watts driven by a pair of Tung Sol 5881 (6L6GC) power tubes. And while the 5F6-A circuit was originally engineered for bass as the name would suggest, guitar players quickly gravitated to it for its muscle, headroom, and rich overdriven grit. It’s a pure, straightforward circuit, with individual Volume knobs for the two channels and a global Treble/Middle/Bass three band EQ, as well as a Presence knob. Bridging the two channels with a small 1/4 jumper allows for interactivity between the two Volume knobs for even thicker roar and sizzle. The circuit retains all of the original Triad and Schumacher-made transformers, and the original CTS pots have visible date codes from the 37th week of’59. The preamp retains all of the stock yellow Astron capacitors, and even a few of the smaller Minimite electrolytics are still viable. The power supply has been recapped with high quality Sprague Atoms, and new smaller Sprague electrolytic caps have been installed in the bias supply. The result is a Bassman that runs extremely reliably with a notably low noise floor, delivering all the power, grit, and nuance for which this circuit is known. A modern three-prong power cable has also been installed. The amp is loaded with four era-correct Jensen P10P alnico magnet drivers with dark blue frames, and these speakers offer more headroom and bass register kick than the smaller magnet P10Rs loaded in Bassmans from the factory. All four speakers have been freshly reconed, with date stamps on the edges of the frames from’61. The original tube chart is no longer present inside the cabinet. The original cabinet has been professionally re-tweeded, and the oxblood/gold stripe grillcloth is modern as well, matching vintage spec. The chrome-plated chassis retains the majority of the original white silkscreened text, and there is some lacquer overspray across the control plate. The amp boasts a full vintage set of black chicken head knobs, and the molded dogbone handle is a modern Fender replacement.

For sale is a Fender Bassman Head from April of 1965. The black front panel reads Fender Electric Instrument Company. This amp is from before the CBS takeover. The amp is in excellent condition for is age with a minimum of components changed. All original transformers dating from 1963 & 1965. It has a three prong powerchord and a mix of vintage RCA & GE preamp tubes and contemporary power tubes. The tube chart reads AA165. The amp is actually the AB165 circuit with more gain. Fender used old tube charts until they ran out. If you jump the both channels they are in phase which make it a AB165 circuit. Please see photos for condition and internal components.

One of the very last Silverface Fenders, this amp has the push/pull Volume Boost feature and a high wattage ceramic magnet CTS speaker, both of which weren’t available on earlier examples. Designed for maximal headroom given its form factor, this Deluxe excels at delivering sparkling, detailed cleans with ample bass response and plenty of treble kick. The amp pushes into overdrive past 5 on the Volume dial, with additional gain on tap via the Boost feature. The Reverb has a splashy, chiming character, and the Tremolo has a nice chop and wide range of speeds. The circuit is 100% original save for two capacitors in the power supply, and the preamp retains its full complement of molded blue capacitors. The Schumacher-made transformers all date to 1980, and the CTS pots have visible date codes spanning mid-1979 to mid-1980. The tubes include the full set of original Fender-branded preamp tubes as well as the 5U4 rectifier, while the power tubes are a fresh pair of Groove Tubes/Sovtek 6V6s. The original CTS 12 speaker has a clean black frame, blue foil Fender label on the ceramic magnet, and inked date stamp translating to the 40th week of’80. The tube chart is also intact on the inside of the cabinet. Cosmetically, this amp is extremely clean, with sparingly little wear on the original smooth black tolex or silver sparkle grillcloth with pale blue stripe. The turquoise text on the faceplate is pristine, and the full set of original witch hat knobs are present. All of the stock hardware is intact, including the handle caps, chassis straps, raised Fender logo with tail, and sphinx glides (feet). The original two-button footswitch is included.

Up for sale, a 1973 Fender Deluxe Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original slip cover, two-button footswitch and a full vintage tube set. This amp excels at delivering sparkling, detailed cleans with great headroom, and the lush reverb accentuates the chiming, smooth treble response. Both channels sound distinct and strong, and turning things up past 5 on the Volume dial introduces glassy overdriven textures and a touch of compression. Both Reverb and Tremolo are accessible via the included footswitch, and the Tremolo has a nice chop and wide range of speeds. The circuit is 100% original save for two small silver caps on the back of the chassis, presumably for a reversed effects loop mod. Otherwise untouched, the circuit retains its stock Schumacher-made transformers which have a particularly wide date spread. The choke dates to the 50th week of 1970, the power transformer to the 9th week of’72, and the output transformer and reverb transformer to the early weeks of’73. The preamp retains all of the original blue molded signal caps, and the power supply even retains all of the stock (and still viable) filter caps. The CTS pots have visible date codes from the 9th week of’73, and the chassis stamp reads May 3rd, 1973. The tube complement is original to the amp, with all RCA-branded valves save for a single GE 12AX7. The original Oxford 12L6 12 speaker has a clean black frame, blue foil Fender label on the ceramic magnet, and dated sticker from the 10th week of’71. The tube chart is also intact on the inside of the cabinet. Cosmetically, this amp is extremely clean, with sparingly little wear on the original smooth black tolex or silver sparkle grillcloth with pale blue stripe, which shows only modest darkening over the decades. The faceplate retains its turquoise text and full set of witch hat knobs. All of the stock hardware is present, including the handle caps, chassis straps, raised Fender logo with tail, and sphinx glides (feet). The original black vinyl slip cover with silkscreened “Deluxe Reverb” text is included, along with the original two-button footswitch.

Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Princeton in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Unlike its brother the Princeton Reverb, this non-reverb Princeton has much more clean headroom, as the lack of the reverb effect introduces less gain into the circuit, allowing the amp to be clearer and punchier, with a sound that has sparkle and chime indicative of the Black Panel line and perfect for recording situations. The controls are simple and intuitive, and the bias based tremolo circuit has a nice even pulse with a wide range of available speeds. The circuit retains all of the original Schumacher-made transformers with date stamps from’74. The CTS pots have visible date codes from the 24th week of 1974, and the preamp has been professionally recapped with Sprague Orange Drop signal caps and smaller Sprague electrolytics to ensure optimal functionality. The power tubes are a fresh pair of 6V6s from JJ, with JJ-branded preamp tubes and a 5U4 rectifier. The speaker is a ceramic magnet CTS-made driver which has a clean black frame, stock cone and blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The tube chart is also fully intact inside the cabinet. The black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe are in truly remarkable shape, and the faceplate is practically pristine with its turquoise text and full complement of witch hat knobs. Stock hardware includes the nickel-plated chassis straps and handle caps, as well as the push-in sphinx glides (feet). The original schematic accompanying “P” (for Princeton) stamped envelope is included, along with a modern Fender-branded slip cover.
