Fisher 400 Wide-Band FM Multiplex Receiver. I still love the tube sound though. This stereo looks and sounds great. AUX and Tape sound fantastic through the iPhone and Android. Phono tested fine with my son’s Crossley (all I had). FM Tuning Stereo Beam works well as does reception but the only strong signal I could get was talk radio. Radio had some distortion but I could not tell if it was due to reception or not. It could be my cheap flat wire antenna as well but never really needed radio. The radio dial is off so when tuned into 105.9 it reads 105.0 (see photo with Stereo Beam). My modest research suggests these issues are not uncommon and can be addressed. Loudness switch button broke but the functionality still works. It was a was a clean break. I have the piece (see photo) that fits perfectly like a puzzle piece. Will easily glue on when faceplate is removed but have left that up to you. All knobs are complete. Headphone jack was tested and works. I have priced this accordingly as I will restore myself before giving it away. This really is a nice unit and is a perfect candidate for a total restoration. This is a vintage Fisher 360 amplifier. Cosmetic condition is excellent for an amp from the mid 50s. It is basically a Fisher 50A built on 2 chromed steel chassis with a more robust power supply. I have had several of these over the years and this is the last and nicest of them. It has been rebuilt and in excellent working condition. Front end tubes are vintage from the era. The rectifiers are new rugged Russian made 5U4s, and outputs are vintage GE 7581/ KT66s. Incredibly hard to find this amp, especially in this condition. Super high quality design and construction. If you’re looking at the listing, you know what this unit can do. No need for me to upsell, but I will say the tone controls alone make the amp worthwhile. Will be on the road for work for the forseeable future and don’t want this great gear to sit in storage. The unit is clean. It’s been serviced. I think it may need a tube change. I was getting a very slight buzz for a minute but I re-biased it and it went away. I have banana plug adapters, Blue Jean Cables with banana plug adapters and manuals for it too. The on/off works fine, but I’ve been using a power strip to turn the unit on and off to avoid burn out. Will throw these all in free. Kx-200 Service details: Serviced. Power supply rebuilt along with replacing necessary caps. 10 ohm resister installed on power tube to act like a fuse if a tube shorts out protecting the transformers. Bias resister change from 330 ohm to 150 ohm. This keeps power tubes from running hot. Slow start current limiter installed. Sylvania power tubes installed with all 12ax7 tubes made by telefunken which where checked for strength leaks and shorts. Any question feel free to contact me. 1962 Stereo Tube Amplifier Here’s a beautiful Fisher 6BQ5 amplifier from a 1962 console… I was planning on restoring this myself, but I have no time so thought I would pass it on to someone else. This is all original, straight from the console! The transformers are all good, though due to it’s age this will obviously need a re-cap, etc, before operating. Excellent original condition, has the original Fisher Great Britain 12AX7 ECC83 tubes, both tested very strong, along with the 6BQ5 and 7189 tubes which all tested good too. The RCA 7189 tube showed a short on pin 9. These Fisher amps sound simply awesome, and are getting harder to find… Jimmy O Please see my other vintage Modern items, currently listed!
