DESCRIPTION Here’s one beautiful Pair (2 pieces) of increasingly rare Atlas Alnico Super Tweeters! These are basically clones of the famous Jensen RP302, and are rumored to even share the same diaphragms. Tested through a crossover to moderate volume. The voice coils measure 7.1 and 9.8 ohms (DC Resistance). IMPORTANT NOTE: It’s HIGHLY-SUGGESTED that you only solder to the existing wires attached to these tweeters. The voice coil wire is about the size of a human hair on these, is also attached to the solder terminal, and is EXTREMELY fragile. These are not flawed, this is by design the way they were made. VINTAGE 1961 GIBSON GA8T GIBSONETTE AMPLIFIER 12 JENSEN ALNICO SPEAKER. This is an original 1961 GIBSON amp good working amp with the original 12 Jensen special design alnico magnet speaker. The tubes are 2- 6BM8 power tubes, one is a Amperex the other a Westinghouse. The rectifier tube is a Sylvania 5V4 and the single pre amp tube is a 12 B27 I don’t see a name on it. This is a hard to find even in their day, matched pair of Goodmans Audiom 50 speakers. Several variants of this speaker were used in the earliest Vox amplifiers. Tested and working and sounding great. These were never overdriven and came directly from a vintage amplified cabinet with low wattage. Original copper wire speaker cables are still attached. The original cones are in very good condition with two small holes and some hairline cracking near the edge in a few spots. Speakers however are sturdy and solid with clean rip free spiders and cloth covered speaker leads tightly attached to the cone. The finish on the cast metal frame is in great condition. Careful 10 watt amplifier matching is important to fully appreciate these speakers and not damage them. 1968 Ampeg Jet J12 Combo Amp. You dont see these every day. Made between 1968 and 1970, these silver and black Jets are real sleepers. Produced alongside the V series amps made legendary by the Rolling Stones, these amps can get you there without shattering windows or breaking your back. This unit here dates from 1968. A great house amp, but totally usable for small gigs. She really barks and growls as you push the volume. The original, blown CTS speaker has been replaced with an excellent sounding Weber Alnico Classic 12S, a very vintage Jensen sounding speaker. Power tubes were replaced about a month ago with new Electro Harmonix 7591A. This is a really good sounding amp. I hate to part with itits been in my stable for over a decade. But bills must be paid.. Get it and rock the fck out. Get your Exile on Main Street on! I do NOT build from kits.
