For your consideration is a used 1964 Fender Bandmaster all tube head. Overall in excellent condition, and perfect function. The shell for the amp is not original, nor is some of the hardware that is currently on the amp. The amp was professionally re-capped, and a new 3 prong power cable was installed. All of the original parts: replaced capacitors, original power cable, Fender badge, feet, handle, metal corners, screws are included as pictured. This one has been modernized, but still has it’s 60′s soul! Sometimes these older amps need some TLC to get back to playing shape…. This one won’t need any work. Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Bandmaster Reverb vintage tube amp head in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Essentially providing the same features as its reverb-less predecessor, the Bandmaster Reverb boasts 40 watts of tube power via a pair of original RCA 6L6 power tubes and a host of matching vintage RCA preamp tubes as well. The amp excels at delivering big, bold clean tones and pushes into sweet tube overdrive after around 5 on the volume dial. The reverb is lush and splashy, and the tremolo has a nice strong chop. The circuit is extremely original, with all of the stock Schumacher transformers present. The transformer date codes range from late 1968 to mid-1969, and the preamp is completely untouched as well, with CTS pots that date to the 28th week of 1969. Aside from one reissue 12AT7 , the entire original tube set is intact and still functioning as it should, and this compliment of vintage USA-made RCA valves has great sweetness and detail. Cosmetically, this head is clean as can be, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise thread. The faceplate has plenty of shine with all of the stock witch hat knobs, and the grillcloth shows only very light aging from the past nearly 50 years. All original hardware is present including the raised Fender logo, corners, and handle caps, and the hardware shows only light surface patina. This very clean and original Bandmaster Reverb head has just been checked out by our tech staff here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar and is ready for stage and studio use. Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Bandmaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This Pre-CBS Fender piggyback amp features original smooth blonde tolex and a AA763 circuit, typically only seen on the very first Blackface amps. The rare combination of cosmetics on this amp was only seen from the last months of 1963 through mid-64, and this amp sounds particularly good with the original pair of Oxford 12L6 ceramic speakers. This amp delivers the incredible cleans which are a hallmark of the Blackface tone, with sparkle, clarity and definition unlike any amps before or since. The tremolo has a nice strong pulse, with a wide range of speeds from swampy and slow to machine gun fast chop. The circuit is very clean and original, with the stock Schumacher power transformer dating to late’63 and an era-correct Bandmaster output transformer also produced by Schumacher and dating to early’66. All of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors are intact in the preamp and an essential part of the Blackface Fender tone, while the main filter caps have been upgraded to F&T caps to ensure that the circuit is working optimally. A three-prong power cable has also been installed. The CTS pots date to the 34th week of 1963. In terms of the tube compliment, the amp is outfitted with a vintage pair of General Electric 6L6 tubes which have been properly biased, along with a vintage preamp tube assortment including RCA and General Electric valves. The original tube chart is mostly intact inside the head and, the cab retains the original Oxford 12 ceramic 12L6 speakers with clean black frames and pristine model and date codes. All of the stock cabinet hardware is intact including pat. Pending tilt back legs, corners, jack, sphinx glides and piggyback head inserts. The original smooth blonde tolex shows some scuffs and light signs of wear on the edges of the enclosures. Both the head and cab have new gold sparkle grillcloth and the original pair of raised Fender logos are present. The back panel on the head is a modern Mojotone replacement, and all of the original fiberglass baffling is included in the speaker cab. This early Blackface Bandmaster features stock transformers and speakers, vintage tubes, and a clean bill of health from our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. This is a 1971 Fender Bandmaster Reverb. The normal channel is blackfaced. It is the perfect pedal platform. Crystal cleans until about half volume then slowly adds a little dirt as you turn it up. The reverb channel has a few mods that make it great for just plugging straight in and rocking. This channel has an added master volume, the mid pot was changed to provide more mids and the channel has a slightly higher gain structure. Reverb and tremolo sound marvelous. I used the amp with a AB box switching channels for dirty and clean. Included are some of the original parts from repairs over the years and the thumb screws for attaching the head to a cabinet. Good tubes with very few hours on them. Newer J&J 12ax7 & 6L6, brand new NOS JAN Phillips 12at7, Russian made Fender 5u4gb. 1965 Fender Bandmaster blackface AB763 vintage amplifier in good cosmetic and working condition. This is been used in my smoke free home studio only – never gigged. The vintage Fender tone that comes out of this amplifier is pure bliss. It’s quiet, all knobs move smoothly… The only noticeable scar is on the faceplate by the eq section of the normal channel. I added the back panel with a exact hand made replica as the original was missing at the time I got the amp. It has all the original blue molded caps and all date codes are correct… Brand new power Ruby tubes were just installed. These are becoming collectible and this one is not going to disappoint. The vibrato has a very slight tick, barley noticeable, but wanted to be upfront. Here is a chance to own a real point to point vintage Fender tube amplifier. The filter caps have been updated at some point. A newer single button footswitch is included. A heavy duty 3 prong cord was added prior to me owning the amp.
