Vintage Tube Amp

Listing is for one. Heath Built EUA-19-4 Tube Amplifier Heathkit (NO Tubes). It’s in pretty good shape for the age. There are marks, scuffs, etc. Please look closely at pics for condition. Looks to be all original, except for the missing 12AX7 tubes. See my other listings/reach out for tubes if you’re interested. This is a HeathBuilt, same as HeathKit, but it’s factory built quality (not built by some electronics noob who probably can’t solder, sorry not sorry ;). There are scuffs, scratches, etc. Please see pics for the visual condition. As with any vintage item, please expect there to be wear, scuffs/scratches, odors, discoloration, rust, dust, signs of age, etc. Pics are of actual item(s). Very unique antique speaker box, unit is untested but in great condition! Looks to have been hand made! A real TV and stereo guru by the looks of it! Cool piece of American history and craftsmenship. Approximately 12 inches tall.

All tubes included as shown. It comes apart, the bottom is the amplifier that you connect a guitar, microphone or AUX into. The top separates and becomes the speaker. It has a long 1/4 cable attached directly to the speaker, and once you are ready to play, you plug that speaker cable into the tube amplifer. I did connect to a bluetooth receiver, through an aux input. It fires up and sound came through! It is rather loud for a dual 6V6 amplifier. Very scratchy as the controls will need to be de-oxed and cleaned up. Capacitors appear original, however no loud humming. BUT of course please plan on a complete recap. I did not check the tubes, although they all appear working, and it does sound decent when the controls are seated. I did unplug the 6V6 tubes to check them out visually. The keys are missing on the bottom, but the arrow points clearly to how they should be inserted. You can use, or replace the tubes as is. The long speaker cable is frayed in many places, plan on replacing. Easy project to get this back to top shape. Be the only kid on your block! Chassis 20″ x 14″ x 12 unpacked.

This vintage homemade amplifier is a very unique piece. Hand-built by my neighbor, as a student in 1967 for his high school project. Red power indicator lights up and vacuum tubes glow but not tested with other components connected. Was told it has a 30 watt output. Measures 18.5″ x 11″ x 10. Real wood covered with wood grain contact paper. Made from wooden and metal components, as well as some plastic and glass. Comes with a 10 line output connection capability, 3 input jacks, a spare electrical outlet and it has a fuse. The 4 Dials and toggle switch operate smoothly. Custom metal switch position indicator panels behind switches are intricately stenciled/cut and drawn on by hand. Power cord is supple and has no kinks or cracks. It’s perfect for vintage electronics and audio enthusiasts and collectors, or for display as a conversation piece. Has the wonderful retro look and feel. The interesting black tinted plexiglass panel has some slight scratches and stains. Casing has some paint stains and nicks, see pics. Comes from a smoker free environment. Local pick-up recommended, although will pack with extra care with styrofoam peanut packing and bubble wrap inside unit.

This item is a bit of a “Mystery Box “. It was built by my father in the 60′s, who was a senior electrical engineer withBell Labs and recently passed away. I do believe it is still working, but would need to be properly tested to be certain.
