VINTAGE RARE GE T-1500A TUBE RADIO AMP STEREO WALNUT CONSOLE TABLE STEREOPHONIC. Rarely seen due to their very limited production run. Very Good USED Vintage Condition with some blemishes in the wood as shown in pictures. Some discoloration on front of speaker grills when closed, also shown in pictures. THIS STEREO HAS NOT BEEN RESORED OR TAMPERED WITH, I DID NOT ATTEMPT TO ADD STAIN TO THE BLEMISHES IN THE WOOD OR CLEAN AND AIR HOSE THE KNOBS. AS ALREADY MENTIONED THERE IS SOME SCRATCHYNESS IN THE KNOBS IM SURE DUE TO AGE. BOTH SPEAKERS WORK, WITH A LITTLE TLC THIS COUILD BE A GREAT SOUNDING VINTAGE GE STEREO SYSTEM. Masquerading as a tabletop radio, it actually has the capability to be a full-blown stereo. Ability to connect external speakers, and also to connect a turntable. Separate Amp, pre-amp and tuner all contained in the same walnut cabinet! Unusual design, where speakers have NO wiring; the connection is made thru the hinges. He telescoping antenna is in great shape but could use some cleaning. Overall very nice piece from the 1960′s. Stereo WORKS with some scratch noise in volume knob. Most likely needs cleaning as this stereo is 60 years old. If volume knob is wiggled or turned back and forth the sound gets better. All Knobs do work. Sherwood S8000 IV Receiver Beautiful Cosmetic Shape Pulled From Working Console VTG Tubes and all tube shields. Tested everything seems to be working such as Tuning section, the various inputs and channel and all lights. All knobs and POC’s were cleaned may be some a couple knobs that need alittle more cleaning to assure any scratchiness has been eliminated. Even though working I’m not sure when the last servicing was and I would strongly recommend it being fully serviced or restored due to its age. Please ask any questions prior to purchasing.

This little tube amp sounds very nice. It was pulled from a 1960s Olympic record player/console and was made in Japan around 1967. It has been cleaned and all the tubes tested. It sounds very nice in FM, but I think it needs a high output cartridge for the Phono section. The phono section is tested and working, but the turntable I tested with it had very low volume. This unit powers up with a standard wall plug. Some console amps have a funky power switch scenario, not this one. It is powered by 2 50PE5 output tubes. That actually translates to about 1 W per channel. So this is definitely a flea watt amplifier. But it produces pretty good volume with my small eight ohm speakers. With highly efficient tube era speakers, I think it would do great. It does have a low level ground ham, when NFM. It did not have this hum when it was still in the console cabinet, so I think this is simply a grounding issue that can be easily remedied. Please see pics, you will receive exactly what is shown.
