For sale, Magnavox amplifier set A138BB and 140B. Here is fully working vintage Magnavox vacuum tube amplifier that was pulled from a model CP242B console phonograph. It includes amp chassis 138BB and tone/volume/control chassis 140B. They are in excellent cosmetic condition. They have been fully tested. 2 new tubes were installed, the 5Y3 rectifier and the 12AX7. I even replaced the dial lamp. The other tubes, 6AV6 and the outputs (2)6V6 all checked good. The controls have been cleaned. Although this is a working set, it is advised for continued reliability that the unit be recapped. Please note that this is not a stereo amplifier it is a mono amplifier. If used with a magnetic cartridge a preamp will need to be used. With over 40 years of experience as a professional audio/video technician I know how to repair and service what I sell. Vintage Fisher X-101-D Control Amplifier with new 7591 tubes. New Electro Harmonix 7591 tubes and at least 20 caps and resistors replaced. I would still treat it as vintage but it performs great with no hum and all functions work. Controls have been cleaned with deoxit. The 6 12ax7 tubes are in good condition. It will be double boxed. New information, 3 of the 12ax7 tubes are Fisher brand, 1 is RCA, 1 is G. E and 1 i can’t read. And check my other listings , interesting stuff.
