Ok one of the original knobs is missing the one to the far right, I replaced it with a different knob, I do not play guitar but I’m good with electronics, all functions appear to be working tubes light up unit plays with a guitar plugged in but like I said I do not play so I can not speak on to how it sounds vs another amp. I used deoxit on all the pots. I did nothing else to the unit. The face plate could probably be cleaned to perfection if desired, cabinet is in good shape for its age. I’m sure that the whole setup could use some sort of maintenance but it all looks to be working from what I could tell.

Danelectro Series D, Model 89 (Master) Tube Amp. All original except tubes and some capacitors. This amp was made to be used with an optional “slave” amp but functions independently as well. A previous owner attached a “MASTER” nameplate (see photo). There are some “nail polish” setting marks on the control panel which a previous owner applied. Amp works fine, including tremolo, but it has a fixed low level hissing/spitting sound at any volume setting, with or without input signal. 15 Utah Speaker: Cone is marked 10675441? ; Frame is marked V15M1 and 328625. Note: When playing a guitar through the amp at higher volume and increased bass there is a distinct buzz which is cancelled by physical pressure applied to the chassis. It is not a speaker problem – it is purely mechanical which can likely be resolved by tweaking the chassis mounting. I mention this because I don’t want the new owner to think it is a speaker or electronic problem. Original canvas cover is in poor condition but could serve as a pattern to make a new one. Leather handle appears original and is in very good usable condition. No foot switch included. See photos for overall item condition. This is a really fantastic and even rarer vintage tube amp. Unit appears to be complete and original. Speaker inside does appear to have a repair as shown in one photo. Contains all tubes which appear to be original as well. Unit does power up and produces sound. Gets a little squawky when sensitivity knob is turned. Is older piece and we believe in a hard to find size. Most likely will need a good thorough cleaning and once over by technician or Musician. Cabinet does show blemishes and where to tiles as shown. We believe these beauties are getting harder and harder to find and believe this might be the upgrade to the model 15a that looks similar. Great old piece for any musician, restoration or collector!
