Up for sale, a 1959 Danelectro Twin Twelve Series D Model 98 tube amplifier in exceptional condition and in good working order. An exceedingly clean and well preserved vintage Danelectro tube amp, the Twin Twelve boasts a two-channel circuit driven by a quartet of fresh JJ 6L6 power tubes. Channel One has tons of bass, with a muscly clean tone that quickly gains a bit of hair when you dig in, with a very rich, churning drive when you dime it out. The low end is burly and full while retaining a certain focus and punch, and the gain is positively ripping. Channel Two is more polite, with far less bass and a more glassy quality, still driving hard when you turn it up. Remolo effect works on both channels and is extremely square wave in nature, cutting through with tons of chop and enough variance in the Speed knob to go from swampy and slow to relatively fast. The circuit is clean and stock, with original CTS pots which date to early’57. The original pair of Utah alnico 12 speakers have clean 1957 date stamps on the magnets as well. The original transformers are intact, and the upper and lower chassis both have extremely clean polished aluminum, with deep brown silkscreening on the upper chassis and the full compliment of original brown molded knobs. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is fully intact too. Cosmetically, this Danelectro is a real stunner, with original gold sparkle grillcloth and a textured blonde covering on the cabinet. There is only light wear and staining on the bottom of the enclosure, and the Danelectro lucite badge is intact on the face. Up for sale, a 1964 Silvertone model 1485 piggyback tube amplifier in exceptional, collector-grade condition and in perfect working order. Produced in the first full year the 1485 model was available, this amp is a stunning example both visually and tonally, boasting the complete original Silvertone branded tube set (with a quad of matched RCA-made gray plate 6L6s no less), original dolly, and six minty Jensen C10Q speakers. The 1485 as advertised by Silvertone pushes a whopping 120 watts, but stripping away the marketing, this amp functions closer to 100 watts via the quad of matched original RCA-made 6L6 power tubes. Extremely powerful and articulate, these amps have much more headroom, punch, and top end response than the smaller 1484, and can produce both bold cleans and roaring overdrive. The smooth articulate crunch of this model has found favor with players across the spectrum, and it responds very well to pedals too. Both channels feature a pair of inputs (high and low) and both channels share the built-in Reverb and Tremolo effects. While the Tremolo has a nice strong pulse that gets quite thick and deep, the Reverb is infamous in its own right for its thin, trashy sound that’s perfect for lo-fi and surf tunes, with a unique gain structure and chimey top end character. The circuit is extremely original, with only a couple smaller caps and a modern three-prong power cord installed to ensure optimal functionality The stock transformers are present, and the original CTS pots date back to the 36th week of’64. The speakers are an incredibly clean sextet of original Jensen C10Q 10 drivers, with minty black frames, original cones, 1964 date codes, and an original, untouched wiring harness. All of the original barrel knobs are intact on the polished aluminum faceplate, which also retains all of the original black silkscreen text. Cosmetically, this Danelectro-made amp is stunning. The original charcoal covering shows sparingly little wear on either the head or cabinet, and the original grillcloth has plenty of sparkle in the gold thread. The head secures into the back of the cabinet with the original swiveling nylon tabs, and even the original dolly is included, screwing into the bottom of the cab with stock screws and retaining a small paper label informing the owner to turn the screws “with a screwdriver or large coin” to attach the dolly. Easily one of the nicest 1485s to surface in years, this amp is a lovely vintage example that’s been given a clean bill of heath from our tech shop and comes complete with the full, original Silvertone-branded tube set. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. The neck has a slender C shaped profile which stays fairly consistent in depth as you travel up the fretboard, measuring. 846 deep at the first fret and filling out to. 993 at the 12th fret. The original medium jumbo frets show virtually no wear on the Brazilian rosewood fretboard, with is a particularly nice cut of wood with dark chocolate stripes up the board. The face of the headstock retains a very clean “Silvertone” script silkscreen logo, and the original “Skate Key” tuners are intact and function as intended. The electronics are untouched, with the original pots intact in the copper shielding tape “box, ” still sealed with factory tape. Vintage early 60′s Silvertone by Danelectro 1472 combo guitar amplifier. Clean as a whistle. You know you want it! Please don’t miss this listing.. I have given you many more photos below so please scroll down. One owner, all original. Will need a tune up to be tiptop, read below. Sounds great with lots of power and crunch (surprisingly so). It’s obvious why these particular amps are becoming so popular. The sound is so good and addictive that I played through this amp for over an hour the first time I tried it. A poor mans Deluxe. Amplifier appears to be all original down to the Silvertone marked tubes (All but one tube is original). Looking inside appears to be all original and unmolested. Nobody has been in there since it left the factory. The only difference between the 1472 and the 1482 is a few more watts on the 1482. But you give up the better styling for sure. The earlier black tolex and fridge handle slay the cheap econo look of the later 1482. Amp has some hum when playing (to be expected with original caps) but much quieter than I expected. Tremolo works but the full range of adjustment (strength and speed) is between “7-10″. You have to turn the knobs up that high to get the trem effect. This is due I’m sure to drifted values of some electronic components. Original electrolytics which are due for replacement. Physical condition is really sharp and well preserved. I gave it a quick wipedown that was it. Refrigerator handle is perfect with no cracks like you often see. Bottom is perfect with 4 original feet and no tearing or damage. Corners and some edges have some light wear. This is easily the nicest one I have seen listed for sale. All original and untouched in working shape is where you want to start…. Give it a tune up and you have an outstanding example. Examine all the high resolution photos below…. Pro packing is my specialty – examine my feedback. Please study all the photos below. C’mon you know you want it! Condition is VG/EX or better. Please examine photos and ask any questions. Overseas on this item IS ACCEPTED…… Listing is for 30 days. Own the best the first time! Item is described as completely and as honestly as possible. I mean this in the strongest terms possible. Awesome sounding vintage 1966 Danelectro DM-25 Tube amp. Very cool piggyback design which houses the head inside the cabinet for transport, just like its cousin the Silvertone Twin Twelve. Amp sounds excellent with rich tube tone that sounds great clean or cranked up for some nice natural overdrive. Reverb doesnt work but on these old Danelectros it usually leaves a bit to be desired anyway as they use a really small tank, but the vibrato works great and is killer. Comes with original 12 Jensen speaker and footswitch. The item “Vintage 1966 Danelectro DM25 Tube Amplifier” is in sale since Sunday, September 9, 2018. (GREAT FOR GUITAR ENTHUSIASTS). Ok, so I have here an original Danelectro DM10 guitar Amp. It honestly sounds kind of like a Fender Champ. Not sure of the exact wattage, but I think it’s 5 watts. It’s all tube circuitry. Everything is original except the new tubes, new grill cloth, new speaker, and speaker board. When I received it 5yrs ago the speaker board was flimsy, the grill cloth was torn, and the Jensen speaker had a tear on it. New items added are. Tubes: (6V6GT) by Tube doctor, (12AX7C) X2 by Groove tubes, and a (6X4) vintage JAN GE. Celestion GBC-15 8″ “Eight 15 the label was custom printed, but it’s still a new speaker w/ the Celestion barcode on top. Installed a strong 1/2 plywood speaker board (see back pics). Fender grill cloth on front Now gives the amp a fender blonde face look! Everything works great, like it should. All pictures are the exact details you will receive. The power cord is original, but I would maybe consider replacing it with a 3 prong for safety, unless you like that. (Please see all pictures). If you dont, please let me know after sale. Up for sale, a 1962 Danelectro Centurion Model 274 vintage 1×12 tube amplifier in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A point-to-point wired USA-made tube amp, this Dano has been fully serviced and recapped as necessary, balancing originality and functionality. Driven by a complete vintage tube compliment including a matched pair of Sylvania 6V6s, this amp has incredible headroom for its size, with rich, powerful cleans that stay defined and sparkling as you crank up the volume. When you dime out the amp you do get a touch of growl and overdrive with single coils, and naturally a P-90 or humbucker will yield a bit more grit. The vibrato works on both channels, with a waveform that has a prominent chop and good range of speeds. The circuit features new F&T filter caps and a combination of smaller Sprague and Mojo Dijon capacitors in the preamp. The original transformers are intact and the CTS pots are all present as well, dating to the 10th week of 1962. The speaker is the original alnico magnet 12 driver manufactured by Utah and dating to the 15th week of’62. In large part what gives this amp its great headroom, this speaker has a magnet that can handle far higher wattages than the roughly 15 watts pushed by the 6V6 pair. Cosmetically, this is a well cared for amp with original rough gray covering and wheat grill. The “Dan” portion of the raised Danelectro logo is still present on the face of the amp, and the polished aluminum chassis is quite clean with all of the original silkscreen lettering. There’s a touch of surface patina on the handle caps and chassis screw washers, but that’s about it. This Danelectro is fully serviced, very original, and aesthetically clean.
