Vintage 50s Masco ME-8 Tube Amp For Guitar / Harp / Harmonica Etc….. This was serviced almost 4 years ago and has been hiding in the store here ever since. There is a low frequency hum but not super noticeable. If using for recording, you may want to have it looked at….. If using it live, I would leave it be. This is a Very Rare Vintage 1941 Erwood Sound 4130 Western Electric Tube Amplifier Harp Microphone Speaker Amp. It features 4 microphone inputs, a phono input, and speaker outputs. The amp is in great cosmetic condition with wear from use and age. None of the tubes are by Western Electric and they also have not been tested. Late 1940s Masco MA-25PN. Originally a Public Address System. Now re-purposed into a fully restored amplifier. All components have been tested/replaced if out of spec, and ran this amp wide open for hours. Tubes have all been tested and ran for audio/instrument clarity. 30 Watts Class A. Original Output, Replaced Power with Transformer from Era. Sounds amazing, tuned, ready to inspire! Original Knobs and Paint. Amp has been altered from it’s original wiring circuit. We jumper all channels as one. This mod allows you complete access to all of the channels if you like, or just one at a time. They all sound slightly different. 6J7 Preamp (4), one for each channel. Russian 6SL7 Phase (1), bass and treble controls. 5U4 Single Rectified (1). New grounded cord and plug. 1/4″ stereo input, 1/4″ mono outputs in 4,8,16, ohm operation. This listing is for a Vintage 1950 Hoffman PPP 6K6 Mono Tube Amp, Ideal for converting to a Parallel Push Pull Harp or Guitar Amplifier or for restoring a Hoffman console. It came from a Hoffman model 538 radio / record player and comprises the power & amplifier section of chassis # 168 (the tuner section will be listed separately). The schematic is in Rider’s Volume 22, which covers 1951, but both the tuner section and the speaker have 1950 dates, so that’s what we’re going with. The tube lineup is 4 x 6K6GT, in PPP, driven by a 6J5GT with a 5U4G rectifier. Prior to listing it was brought up on a variac and played well.
