Classic Vintage Quad II Valve Amplifiers. Serial numbers: 61213 & 74372. Very good (apparently all original) condition. Some age related marks to the paint finish (nothing nasty) as per photos. Fully tested and both amps in excellent working order. Supplied without any leads. Come with Quad cartons including internal packaging. Designed for use with the Quad II or 22 pre-amplifiers. The function of a main amplifier is that of amplifying the output from the control unit or other source with the highest possible standard of accuracy. This is achieved in the Quad II to a degree unexcelled by any equipment known to be offered to the public. The amplifier is further unique in that this performance is obtained with stability which is complete. Power output: 15W into 8 (mono). Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz. Original vintage Eico HF-81 Stereo Hi Fi Tube Amplifier. Original owner estate find, carefully stored in garage for decades. Looks to be in fairly well preserved/original condition. No cleaning, testing or hook-up of any sort was performed. Measures about 15″W X 5″H X 9-3/4D, weight 24 lbs. Has the name’Boles’ etched on top edge. This amp as as shown, as found. I did not test it or even plug it in as I do not want to risk damaging it. I will remove the tubes and pack them separately. There is some rust on the chassis, some spots lighter than others. It weighs about 10 pounds before packaging. Cabinet refinished, touched up re-painted in areas and polished to look as great as it does in listing photos. Rebuilt changer, NOS TETRAD stereo cartridge and new diamond / sapphire flip over style needle. Comes with an automatic 45 spindle adapter. Legs with mounting brackets are not included but, available as optional and additional item. Amplifier has been serviced, tube pins tightened, tubes tested, old wax tubular and electrolytic capacitors replaced with new. Resistors tested and out of tolerance resistors replaced with new. Volume, Base, Treble and switch controls have all been cleaned and lubricated with Deoxit. A new power cord has been installed. The amp has a power transformer and a nice large output transformer. A new idler wheel has been installed. The platter surface has been cleaned to reveal original soft rubber surface. Amplifier has been recapped, controls cleaned and all out of tolerance resistors, capacitors and tubes replaced. The cartridge is A NOS Tetrad brand cartridge that has been installed. A new stereo 4 wire tone arm wiring harness has been installed with Tetrad plug. The cartridge has a new diamond needle with a. 07 mil stylus on one side for LP’s and a 3 mil. Sapphire stylus on the other for 78′s. Plays both stereo (bridged to mono) and mono records of all 3 speeds through mono amp. A little about me.
