VTG 1960s USA Made Alamo Capri Tube amplifier Low Wattage Rare San Antonio Texas. In very good used condition, particularly for a 60 yr old amp. Powers up and works as intended, making things loud. Very cool piece and the case is in solid condition. Aside from one corner block seperating from the case. We considered gluing and clamping but decided against it as we are not amp or speaker experts. Please see pics for more clarity. Overall, a very neat piece for use or display. 1966 Supro Model 88T, Valco Made, Vintage Tube Combo Amplifier, N. Thanks for your interest! This Supro Model 88T, also sometimes referred to as the 1688T, is in brand new and original condition, having just been removed from the original box. The Supro was delivered new to Ziegler Music in Aurora, Illinois, where it was placed in storage and never opened. After Zeigler closed in the 2000s, the amp, along with the other store stock, including many N. Guitars from the 1960s and 1970s, was placed in a storage unit until it was discovered after the owners passing by the family. I unboxed the amp, checked the tubes and the wiring, and tried it out. It works perfectly, although I did replace the cord to an updated three prong cord for safety. The new owner of this amp up for sale can leave the cord installed or re-install the old one for display, according to the intended use. Again, this Supro amp is brand new and just out of the box, and yes, the box and factory tags are included with the sale, as is the period newspaper it was packed with. This is a rare opportunity to acquire an brand new amp from the 1960s. This is a rare model, and a clean example of a classic Supro amp made by Valco. The 1688T/88T is a 2×12 amp originally made for bass, but is really a guitar amp, and is the predecessor to the more common Thunderbolt. There are four separate inputs on this amp that all sound uniquely different, and one of the smoothest tremolos around. Watts – Approx 40. Tubes – 6L6 Power Tubes. Speakers – 2×12 Speakers.
