What a fabulous full body tone this amp creates! See details courtesy of Silvertone World below. This one is in absolutely stunning condition with minimal wear, no fading to tolex, grill cloth flat and no tears. No Silvertone logo and no evidence of one being there in the past. Has been serviced to include a grounded cord for safety. The 1344 amp began its life as the 1304 in 1949. It became the 1344 in the Fall/Winter catalog of 1950, at which time it had the Silvertone logo applied in the decorative silver band around the amp. The’vibrato’ listing in the catalog is labeled’tremolo’ on the amps. Some cabinet roulette occurred during this period; the innards are nearly identical to the1303, even though the 1303 looks just like a 1300. Introduced: Fall/Winter 1949 Retired: Spring/Summer 1954. Mint Vintage Peerless A-100-A 100A Mono Vacuum Triode Tube AMP Amplifier. VERY RARE (approx 100 made). One of the greatest Triode Amps ever made. BEAUTIFUL, ORIGINAL, & UNMOLESTED PEERLESS A-100-A AMP, still retaining its beautiful, glossy Battleship Grey paint color and original components. The Tube configuration contains the coveted Peerless S-240-Q and R-480-Q transformers. FULLY & METICULOUSLY RESTORED by Electro Ross Blomgren (RJB) in Gardena, CA. Color: Battleship Grey (Original Paint). Model: Peerless Model A 100 A Amp. Year of manufacture: 1940s-early 1950s. Country of Manufacture: USA. Weight: Approx 30 lbs. Output per Channel: 17 watts – Mono. Frequency: 20-20,000 Hz. Tubes 6J7, 6J5, 6SN7, 5V4G, 6A5G. Transformers Peerless R-480-Q and S-240-Q Output. Excerpt from Audio Asylum. The Peerless A100A, a PP 6B4 or 6A5 amp, has some real technical attributes. First, this amp included a choke equipped passive EQ record compensation equalizer, but pre-RIAA. Altec’s engineers preferred pentodes up front for preamp and first amp stage duty. In fact, their amp front end definitely inspired Dynaco and must also be recognized as showing up here after the British Leak and soon to be seen Mullard front ends! It’s funny how some topology magically appears worldwide around the same time… Altec’s pentode is direct coupled to a 6J5, R-C coupled to a split load phase inverter 6J5, to a push-pull 6SN7, to push-pull cathode follower 6SN7, direct coupled to the center tapped choke loaded output triodes. With low overall feedback, they claimed 18W at less than 5% distortion. Which output tranny, you all wonder? The Peerless S-240Q, of course! Track Page Views With. Auctiva’s FREE Counter. Up for sale, a 1971 Fender Super Reverb in near mint, collector grade condition and in perfect working order. Complete with its original Victoria Luggage vinyl cover, two-button footswitch, schematic, and Fender catalog, this Super Reverb is as nice as they come. Serviced only sparingly to ensure optimal tone and reliability, this amp has been reverted to Pre-CBS AB763 specs. Able to deliver huge cleans and incredible power like few other Fender’s can, this Super Reverb is loaded with its original quad of CTS alnico speakers. The amp is dynamic, detailed, and able to hold its own in any ensemble, boasting both lush tube driven spring reverb and a vibrato circuit that has a wide range of speeds and everything from a subtle pulse to machine gun chop. The circuit is very original, and all of the stock Schumacher transformers date to the first weeks of 1971. All of the CTS pots are stock as well (also dating to early’71) and the preamp is virtually untouched aside from new grid resistors and a couple bypass caps to keep everything operating within factory spec and as designed for the AB763 circuit. The main filter caps have been replaced with high quality Sprague Atoms to ensure years of future trouble-free use and the amp has been fitted with a three-prong power cable. The power tubes are a pair of vintage 7581s which are a more robust version of a 6L6 able to deliver more headroom and handle higher plate voltages. The preamp tubes are an assortment of mostly vintage valves by RCA and General Electric. The original CTS speaker quad features minty black stamped frames, 1971 date codes, and original blue foil Fender stickers on the alnico magnets. Three of the speakers retain their original cones, and the fourth has been professionally reconed with identical parts for a consistent tone. The tube chart is intact on the inside of the cabinet with crisp corners and only lightly aged paper. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are near mint, as is the original silverface faceplate with flawless turquoise text. All of the stock hardware is accounted for including the chassis straps, corners, handle caps, tilt back legs, raised “Fender” logo, and sphinx glides (feet). The amp comes complete with its original Victoria Luggage cover. This cover shows some loose stitching and wear along the bottom third of the cover, and the “Super Reverb” text is faded, but present. The two-button footswitch is extremely clean, as is the included manual, schematic, and envelope for the paperwork (stamped “SR” in the corner to mark the amp model) are in great shape.
