1976 Fender Princeton Guitar Amplifier Non-Reverb Original Vintage

This a Fender Princeton amplifier that I believe is a 1976 but I’m not 100% sure of the exact year it was manufactured. Most of the tubes look like the originals and are labeled Fender. Everything else looks original. The amplifier has been in storage for many years and it looks like it has been used very little. Has a small bump in the tolex on the right side of the amplifier. This item is in the category “Musical Instruments & Gear\Guitars & Basses\Guitar Amplifiers”. The seller is “fullerjames” and is located in this country: US. 1964 Fender Princeton Non-Reverb Vintage Blackface Pre-CBS Tube Amp Near Mint

Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Princeton in stunning, collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with a virtually untouched circuit. A first-year example, this vintage Blackface Fender is a true Pre-CBS era Fender gem featuring the early no-logo cabinet design and “Fender Electric Instruments” faceplate. Unlike its brother the Princeton Reverb, this non-reverb Princeton has much more clean headroom, as the lack of the reverb effect introduces less gain into the circuit, allowing the amp to be clearer and punchier, with a sound that has sparkle and chime indicative of the Blackface line and perfect for recording situations. The controls are simple and intuitive, and the bias-based tremolo circuit has a nice even pulse with a wide range of available speeds. The circuit is untouched save for a new bias cap which has been cleanly sleeved in the original brown Astron wrapper. The original Schumacher-made output and power transformers date to 1964, and visible codes on the original Stackpole pots date to the 40th week of’64. The famed blue molded Ajax tone caps are intact in the preamp, instrumental in creating the sweet, musical character of Fender’s Blackface circuits. The tubes consist of a matched pair of brand new EH 6V6 power tubes, with the original Amperex GZ34 rectifier and RCA-branded 12AX7s in the preamp. The tube chart is clean and unfaded with crisp corners and an “NL” date stamp that translates to December of’64. Typically the tube chart date is the latest on any Fender, which is true in this instance as well. The speaker is the original Oxford 10J4 10 ceramic driver which has just been professionally reconed. The speaker has a clean black frame and date code from the 43rd week of’64. The speaker is wired to the original harness with the flat metal cap seen on the earliest Blackface speaker jacks. The nickel hardware on the amp is completely original and the faceplate is particularly clean, with stock witch hat knobs. The stock black tolex and silver sparkle grill are extremely well-kept, with sparingly little aging of the grillcloth which has plenty of sparkle in the thread. This is a no-excuses early Blackface Princeton which delivers a sound worthy of the Fender name. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Featuring the famed AB763 circuit, this amp has an incredible amount of headroom and power, something that instantly sets it apart from its reverb-equipped brother. Since the addition of the reverb effect into the Fender circuit essentially adds another gain stage, the non-reverb Deluxe really stands out as Fender’s premier 1×12 Blackface combo amp, with incredible warmth, EQ balance, and clarity. Perfect as a platform for pedals and an ideal amp for studio use, this Deluxe captures the quintessential Fender clean sound, with smooth tube overdrive and a hint of compression at higher volumes. The tremolo has a strong, even pulse as well, with a wide range of speeds. The circuit is extremely original, and the stock Schumacher-made transformers date to Fall of’66. The power supply has been professionally recapped along with a new bias capacitor and three-prong power cable to keep everything operating within original factory specifications. The circuit is otherwise untouched, with all of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps intact in the preamp. These caps are essential to the rich, musical quality of the Blackface-era circuits. The CTS pots are all stock as well with visible date codes from the 18th week of’66. The power tubes are a pair of Russian-made and Groove Tubes-branded 6V6s, along with a vintage Mullard GZ34 rectifier. The preamp tubes are all newer valves from the likes of Groove Tubes and JJ. The speaker is a vintage Utah 12 with a very clean black frame and original blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The original tube chart is intact and particularly clean, with a “QA” date code that translates to January of 1967. Cosmetically, this is an extremely clean and well cared for amplifier, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. As the photos show, the tolex is extremely tidy and the faceplate is quite clean as well, with a set of minty witch hat knobs. This Deluxe would look great in a studio and is an example that will satisfy players and collectors alike. Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Princeton in exceptional, collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original catalog, schematic, and envelope. Remarkably preserved, this vintage Blackface Fender was produced in mid-64, placing this Princeton firmly in the “Pre-CBS” era. The amp has both the early no-logo cabinet design and “Fender Electric Instruments” faceplate. The circuit is 100% original aside from a few new low-noise metal film resistors to ensure optimal performance and an ideal noise floor. The stock transformers were made by Fender’s primary supplier, Schumacher, dating between the 39th and 45th weeks of’64. The famed blue molded Ajax tone caps are intact in the preamp, instrumental in creating the sweet, musical character of Fender’s Blackface amps. The chassis stamp dates to’64, and the visible date codes on the stock Stackpole pots are from the 34th week of that year as well. The tubes consist of a matched pair of vintage RCA-branded 6V6 power tubes, with an Amperex GZ34 rectifier, RCA-branded 12AX7 and a singular new JJ preamp tube. The tube chart is fully intact with crisp corners and a “NL” date stamp that translates to December of’64. Typically the tube chart date is the latest on any Fender, which is true in this instance as well. The speaker is the original Jensen C10Q which is practically perfect with a deep black frame, near mint gold foil sticker on the magnet, and date stamp from the 23rd week of’64. The stock wiring harness is intact too with the bare metal 1/4 pancake jack seen only on Pre-CBS examples. The hardware on the amp is completely original and the faceplate is nigh flawless, with stock witch hat knobs. The stock black tolex and silver sparkle grill are among the cleanest we’ve ever encountered, and both are clean as can be. This is a pristine, no-excuses early Blackface Princeton which delivers a sound worthy of the Blackface name! The original factory paperwork is included including the original envelope, catalog, and schematic. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! The original tube chart is intact and, with an “OI” date code that translates to September of 1965. Cosmetically, this amp has clearly been on the road for years and seen countless stages. Despite heavy use, the original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are intact! The stock baffle is still viable, and all of the original hardware is intact including the raised Fender logo, handle, and sphinx glides (feet).
