Vintage Tube Amp

This item was pulled from a working unit. I did power it on, connected speaker and microphone and it operated well. There was a slight buzz/hum. The inside electronics looks nice, the tubes gives a nice glow. There is no power cord. There is a cut speaker cable. This item is old so it will need servicing by a qualified technician to bring it back to its shinning glory. Only what is imaged is available. For sale is an Eico HF-81 with a partial restoration already completed. For whatever reason, the previous owner didn’t finish this project, but did seem to stay organized. I simply do not and will not have the time needed to dedicate to this so I want to move it on to the next owner who can. There are wires taped to the bottom cover that appear to have been removed but not replaced. Please see the photo with the bottom cover off. Unit does have some surface rust, especially on the inside of the bottom cover. Unit is in good shape overall. Power tubes are Russian, not sure of the condition of the other old stock tubes. You do not need to live near me. This rules comes from dealing with an older individual who offered an attractive trade if I delivered the speakers to him. This ended up being a tremendous waste of time. I sell mostly vintage electronics. As such, these items are old and typically out of spec from when they were new. I do my best to test these items and make sure they work before theyre sent out, but I do not guarantee or represent that they will meet the original specifications. I may not even be able to test them, in which case assume that they dont work. However, there are times where I may miss something. If that happens, I hope that you would agree that the most efficient way to take care of an issue is if you simply message me before opening a case or doing anything else. I need an outlet for these items online, so I have no reason to send you something that doesnt work unless Ive noted that it doesnt. I pack items correctly. I know what it takes to get an item to you safely. You will NOT have to ask for it. I will do my best to get items out within a few days, however there are instances where that is not possible. The policies here are difficult in this regard because these vintage items in particular need to be moved and packed carefully. I do not want to damage anything by rushing. BEAM ECHO , Two vintage Avantic DL7-35 vacuum tube amplifiers, complete with transformers, and existing parts and hardware. These original beauties are known for their high quality. The transformers offer superb sound. I heard these amps in the early 2000s. They are currently unfinished project amps and require some assembly– plus tubes. The original owner intended to convert them for use with 6L6 outputs instead of the standard EL34 tubes. But, the project was put on hold and never completed. Please note the photos showing the two amps and their parts in the detailed photos. The first six photos are of amp #1. Amp #2 is shown in photos 8 through 12. Photo #6 shows the parts. This is a DIY project. The amps can be made to accommodate either EL34 or 6L6 output amplifier tubes. No tubes are provided. American 60 cycle, 120 volts. These Beam Echo monaural amplifiers use the Mullard 5-20 circuit (for the EL34 tubes) made without cutting corners, to full specification. Also, of note– the EICO HF35 uses the same design. The condition of the covers on each amplifier is excellent with the original paint intact, but with minor light scratches, one small dimple and some minor paint loss on both covers. Finished packing weight (Two Boxes) is under 72 lbs. The two Beam Echo amps will be combined and placed into two 16×14.5×12.5 inch Boxes, fully protected and insured for safe arrival.
