Up for sale, a 1962 Fender Princeton in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order. This stunningly well-kept Brown Panel Princeton features the 6G2 circuit and a full complement of vintage tubes. The Princeton has a tone that is very dynamic and warm, with crystalline clean tones giving way to rich, saturated overdrive as you turn up the Volume knob. The circuit retains the original pair of Schumacher transformers with matching date codes from the 13th week of’62, and the preamp is extremely original with all of the original blue molded Ajax caps, which have a particularly sweet, musical tonal character central to Fender’s Pre-CBS amps. The original Stackpole pots are intact, and the larger multi-section can cap and smaller electrolytics in the preamp are modern high quality components to ensure optimal functionality. A three-prong power cable has also been installed. The tube complement includes a pair of voltage matched Sylvania 6V6s with a Philco-branded 5Y3 rectifier and vintage preamp tubes as well. The original alnico magnet Oxford 10JB speaker is intact with an extremely clean frame, original speaker harness, and date stamp from the 32nd week of’61. The original tube chart is well preserved inside the cabinet, retaining an “LC” date stamp which translates to March of 1962. Cosmetically, the original rough brown tolex has barely a scuff on it, and the original wheat grillcloth is also extremely clean. The faceplate is nigh flawless, retaining the original brown barrel knobs. Even the original leather handle is intact, as is all of the hardware including handle caps, chassis straps, and sphinx glides (feet). A modern replica one-button footswitch for engaging the Tremolo is included, along with a modern black padded cover. Up for sale, a 1980 Fender Princeton Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. One of the very last genuine vintage examples from the original Silverface era of production, this Princeton Reverb has been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. The perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions, the Princeton’s circuit delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is lush, and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The circuit retains the original pair of transformers manufactured for Fender by Schumacher, dating between late 1979 and the first weeks of’80. The preamp boasts a full complement of original blue molded capacitors, with a few new Sprague electrolytics to ensure optimal performance. The larger multi-section can cap in the power supply is still functioning as intended too. All of the original pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 50th week of’79. The tubes consist of a matched pair of JJ 6V6s with an JJ 5U4 rectifier and a bevy of modern valves in the preamp. The speaker is an era-correct Oxford 10J4 with a black frame and blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The speaker retains the original speaker harness as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender “F” cap. The tube chart is mostly intact. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe are present and notably well-kept. The original faceplate has plenty of shine with a full complement of witch hat knobs, and the hardware includes original chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and small raised Fender tail-less logo. One of the best Fender mamps ever made I my and probably many other humble opinion. Clear and present cleans, and dial past 5 to start getting that natural Fender break-up. This amp is in mostly original form. Speaker and Reverb tank have been swapped. By looks, the speaker looks to be an Eminence, but I cannot tell for sure. It sounds good to my ears. The Verb tank is a monster MOD tank (see pic). It also appears a big capacitor has been replaced. I know of no others for sure. Original iron and tranny’s date it to’78. Amp plays and pushes air nicely. Minor blems, but tolex is in what I would call good shape for the age. I took a close mic’d vid of the amp being played to hear, and see it’s ready to go. I will pack this amp with great care, and insure it to a tee. Not in a hurry, but I have a Princeton problem and at least one or two need to move on and see more action. This is a very nice 1964 Fender 6G2 Princeton, serial P08161. It came from a fellow who was thinning out his collection. I’m showing it exactly as we received it. I haven’t polished it up or anything like that. It’s a little dusty but will clean up well. The trim is in great shape and all metal components are free of any significant surface-rust. The grill cloth is original and looks great except for the one hole you see in the photos. Aside from the speaker being replaced with a Fender aftermarket unit, it appears to be all original. I haven’t taken the amp out of the cabinet, but I’m assuming it still has all of the original capacitors in place. Please replace these before putting the amp into full-time service. I haven’t checked the tubes, so there’s a chance they should be replaced as well. Aside from that, this one should be good to go! If you prefer one carrier over the other, please make that request when paying for the item. Rest assured, you’ll receive your item in excellent condition! WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SALE: You will only receive what is shown in the photographs. If you do not see it in the photos, it is likely not included in the sale. That includes manuals, packaging, power cords, accessories, and so on. ABOUT US: Our company, Ham & HiFi, is located in Sparks, NV. Up for sale, a 1955 Fender Princeton in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This narrow panel Tweed amp is the particularly rare “small box” example only offered in 1955, with a more compact enclosure identical to the Champ. The flawless tube chart and matching two digit P00057 serial stamped on the chassis speak to the early nature of this model, being the 57th narrow panel Princeton ever produced. The original tweed is uniformly ambered and very well-kept, and is one of the rarest and most unique golden-age Fender amps to come through our shop of late. The circuit couldn’t be more simple and pure, with single Volume and Tone knobs and a Class A circuit design, powered by a single 6V6 power tube. The tone is articulate, dynamic and commanding, with the sizzle and churning overdrive of a Champ, but greater ability to sculpt the tone. The top end response is just right, and the amp doesn’t get too trebly, with a nice wooly warmth and reconed original Jensen 8 speaker, making the Tone control quite usable and giving the circuit the ability to handle ample low end without sounding loose or over-burdened. The circuit is 100% original, with untouched solder joints save for a substituted era-correct two-prong power cable The circuit retains its original Triad transformers, and the original Stackpole pots, carbon comp resistors, and red “dynamite” Astron capacitors are intact. Visible codes on the Stackpole pots dat3 to the 43rd week of 1954. All of the original caps both in the preamp and power supply are still functioning as intended, a testament to the longevity of Fender’s amps and component choices. The tubes are all vintage valves include a vintage RCA 5Y3, Hytron 6V6 power tube, and a UK-made 12AX7. The speaker is original and a particularly rare alnico Jensen, stamped “EE” just to the right of the magnet, matching the identical stamps on the chassis and tube chart. The tube chart is notable for its well-preserved condition, with perfect corners, handwritten serial number, and “EE” date stamp which translates to May of 1955. The tweed is 100% original with light, uniform ambering, and some minor staining below the grillcloth, attributable to “bleed out” from the original rivets pinning the tweed. There are also two small holes on the upper back panel from a removed, non-original cable wrap. The original leather handle is intact and incredibly clean, as is the gleaming chrome faceplate with original silkscreen text and chicken head knobs. This amp is a true rarity given its condition, and this particular example has been carefully tested and inspected to ensure originality and ideal functionality. Vintage 1968 Fender Princeton AA964 Drip Edge/Black Line Tube Amp (Non Reverb)

Up for sale is this vintage Fender Princeton non-reverb, which is a good example of the transitional “drip edge/black line” model found in limited numbers during the late 60s. These models are highly sought after as they contain the same circuitry as its black face predecessor, as well as many unique cosmetic markings, which are only found during this transitional period. This particular Princeton Non-Reverb features the following. · Drip Edge the aluminum trim framing around the grill cloth. · Black Line – Note the thin vertical black lines on the faceplate This denotes a Princeton Amp which retains the same circuitry as its Blackface predecessor. · Tail-less logo – this logo was used on a limited number of Fender Amps during the above-mentioned transition period. These logos can be distinguished from later tail-less logos (post 1973) by their smaller size, plastic composition, and no serial number on the back. · Vertical blue stripes added to the grill cloth Grill cloth. Additionally, this is the Non-reverb model which is known for having cleaner headroom, as the lack of the reverb effect introduces less gain into the circuit, allowing the amp to be clearer and punchier, with a sound that has sparkle and chime indicative of the Blackface line and perfect for recording situations. · Model # AA964. · Serial # A 10601. · Ink stamp on inside of Chassis: T89 1268. · Black Transformer: 290 AX JS1867 – 3711 (see pictures). · Gold Transformer: 8316720 May 1967 made by Better Coil & Transformer. · The visible codes on the original CTS pots date to the 42nd week of 66. · The Speaker is a CTS with a code of 137 7220. The condition of this rare Non-Reverb model can be seen throughout the pictures, and it is in excellent working order. It has recently been serviced by local technician referred by Guitar Emporium in Louisville KY. Note: I have researched this amp as thoroughly as possible and have described it as accurately as possible. I will pack the amp as safe as possible and will use thick cardboard with foam & bubble wrap to ensure that it arrives to you safely.
