This is a very nice 1964 Fender 6G2 Princeton, serial P08161. It came from a fellow who was thinning out his collection. I’m showing it exactly as we received it. I haven’t polished it up or anything like that. It’s a little dusty but will clean up well. The trim is in great shape and all metal components are free of any significant surface-rust. The grill cloth is original and looks great except for the one hole you see in the photos. Aside from the speaker being replaced with a Fender aftermarket unit, it appears to be all original. I haven’t taken the amp out of the cabinet, but I’m assuming it still has all of the original capacitors in place. Please replace these before putting the amp into full-time service. I haven’t checked the tubes, so there’s a chance they should be replaced as well. Aside from that, this one should be good to go! If you prefer one carrier over the other, please make that request when paying for the item. Rest assured, you’ll receive your item in excellent condition! WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SALE: You will only receive what is shown in the photographs. If you do not see it in the photos, it is likely not included in the sale. That includes manuals, packaging, power cords, accessories, and so on. ABOUT US: Our company, Ham & HiFi, is located in Sparks, NV. Up for sale, a 1955 Fender Princeton in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This narrow panel Tweed amp is the particularly rare “small box” example only offered in 1955, with a more compact enclosure identical to the Champ. The flawless tube chart and matching two digit P00057 serial stamped on the chassis speak to the early nature of this model, being the 57th narrow panel Princeton ever produced. The original tweed is uniformly ambered and very well-kept, and is one of the rarest and most unique golden-age Fender amps to come through our shop of late. The circuit couldn’t be more simple and pure, with single Volume and Tone knobs and a Class A circuit design, powered by a single 6V6 power tube. The tone is articulate, dynamic and commanding, with the sizzle and churning overdrive of a Champ, but greater ability to sculpt the tone. The top end response is just right, and the amp doesn’t get too trebly, with a nice wooly warmth and reconed original Jensen 8 speaker, making the Tone control quite usable and giving the circuit the ability to handle ample low end without sounding loose or over-burdened. The circuit is 100% original, with untouched solder joints save for a substituted era-correct two-prong power cable The circuit retains its original Triad transformers, and the original Stackpole pots, carbon comp resistors, and red “dynamite” Astron capacitors are intact. Visible codes on the Stackpole pots dat3 to the 43rd week of 1954. All of the original caps both in the preamp and power supply are still functioning as intended, a testament to the longevity of Fender’s amps and component choices. The tubes are all vintage valves include a vintage RCA 5Y3, Hytron 6V6 power tube, and a UK-made 12AX7. The speaker is original and a particularly rare alnico Jensen, stamped “EE” just to the right of the magnet, matching the identical stamps on the chassis and tube chart. The tube chart is notable for its well-preserved condition, with perfect corners, handwritten serial number, and “EE” date stamp which translates to May of 1955. The tweed is 100% original with light, uniform ambering, and some minor staining below the grillcloth, attributable to “bleed out” from the original rivets pinning the tweed. There are also two small holes on the upper back panel from a removed, non-original cable wrap. The original leather handle is intact and incredibly clean, as is the gleaming chrome faceplate with original silkscreen text and chicken head knobs. This amp is a true rarity given its condition, and this particular example has been carefully tested and inspected to ensure originality and ideal functionality. Up for sale is this vintage Fender Princeton non-reverb, which is a good example of the transitional “drip edge/black line” model found in limited numbers during the late 60s. These models are highly sought after as they contain the same circuitry as its black face predecessor, as well as many unique cosmetic markings, which are only found during this transitional period. This particular Princeton Non-Reverb features the following. · Drip Edge the aluminum trim framing around the grill cloth. · Black Line – Note the thin vertical black lines on the faceplate This denotes a Princeton Amp which retains the same circuitry as its Blackface predecessor. · Tail-less logo – this logo was used on a limited number of Fender Amps during the above-mentioned transition period. These logos can be distinguished from later tail-less logos (post 1973) by their smaller size, plastic composition, and no serial number on the back. · Vertical blue stripes added to the grill cloth Grill cloth. Additionally, this is the Non-reverb model which is known for having cleaner headroom, as the lack of the reverb effect introduces less gain into the circuit, allowing the amp to be clearer and punchier, with a sound that has sparkle and chime indicative of the Blackface line and perfect for recording situations. · Model # AA964. · Serial # A 10601. · Ink stamp on inside of Chassis: T89 1268. · Black Transformer: 290 AX JS1867 – 3711 (see pictures). · Gold Transformer: 8316720 May 1967 made by Better Coil & Transformer. · The visible codes on the original CTS pots date to the 42nd week of 66. · The Speaker is a CTS with a code of 137 7220. The condition of this rare Non-Reverb model can be seen throughout the pictures, and it is in excellent working order. It has recently been serviced by local technician referred by Guitar Emporium in Louisville KY. Note: I have researched this amp as thoroughly as possible and have described it as accurately as possible. I will pack the amp as safe as possible and will use thick cardboard with foam & bubble wrap to ensure that it arrives to you safely. I still have the original transformer and it is included with the sale. Has 2 RCA power, 1 GE Rectifier, 1 RCA Preamp and the last preamp tube I’m not sure, it says made in Great Britain but no logo. 1968 Fender Princeton Reverb Drip Edge Vintage Tube Amp with Blackface Circuit

Up for sale, a 1968 Fender Princeton Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch. A transitional “drip edge/black line” example, this amp features a set of unique cosmetic cues including a small tail-less Fender logo, aluminum trim framing the grillcloth, and thin vertical black lines on the early Silverface faceplate, denoting a Princeton Reverb which retains the same circuitry and components as its Blackface era predecessor. Freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, the Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions. This classic Fender AA764 Blackface circuit delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when you dime it out. The Reverb is extremely lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds. The circuit retains the original pair of transformers manufactured for Fender by Better Coil & Transformer, dating between late 1967 and the first weeks of’68. The preamp boasts most of the famed blue molded Ajax tone caps (an essential part of the Blackface sound), along with a few replacement caps, smaller top shelf Sprague electrolytics, and low-noise metal film resistors. The larger multi-section can cap in the power supply has also been recently replaced to ensure trouble-free performance, and the power cable has been upgraded to the modern three-prong variety. All of the original pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 2nd week of’68. The tubes consist of a matched pair of JJ 6V6s with an JJ GZ34 rectifier and a bevy of modern and vintage valves in the preamp. The speaker is the original Oxford 10J4 with a black frame and blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The speaker retains the original speaker harness as well, complete with the original speaker jack with Fender “F” cap. The tube chart is mostly intact and quite aged, with some tape on the edges. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe are intact, with a few bald corners on the otherwise very clean tolex, and light, uniform aging of the grill. The original faceplate shows a speckling of light wear with a full compliment of witch hat knobs, and the hardware includes original chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), and small raised Fender tail-less logo. This vintage Princeton Reverb works exactly as it should, sounds great, and is ready for another 50 years of use. The amp comes complete with the original black two-button footswitch to engage the Reverb and Vibrato effects. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! 1964 Fender Princeton Non-Reverb Vintage Blackface Pre-CBS Tube Amp Near Mint

Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Princeton in stunning, collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with a virtually untouched circuit. A first-year example, this vintage Blackface Fender is a true Pre-CBS era Fender gem featuring the early no-logo cabinet design and “Fender Electric Instruments” faceplate. Unlike its brother the Princeton Reverb, this non-reverb Princeton has much more clean headroom, as the lack of the reverb effect introduces less gain into the circuit, allowing the amp to be clearer and punchier, with a sound that has sparkle and chime indicative of the Blackface line and perfect for recording situations. The controls are simple and intuitive, and the bias-based tremolo circuit has a nice even pulse with a wide range of available speeds. The circuit is untouched save for a new bias cap which has been cleanly sleeved in the original brown Astron wrapper. The original Schumacher-made output and power transformers date to 1964, and visible codes on the original Stackpole pots date to the 40th week of’64. The famed blue molded Ajax tone caps are intact in the preamp, instrumental in creating the sweet, musical character of Fender’s Blackface circuits. The tubes consist of a matched pair of brand new EH 6V6 power tubes, with the original Amperex GZ34 rectifier and RCA-branded 12AX7s in the preamp. The tube chart is clean and unfaded with crisp corners and an “NL” date stamp that translates to December of’64. Typically the tube chart date is the latest on any Fender, which is true in this instance as well. The speaker is the original Oxford 10J4 10 ceramic driver which has just been professionally reconed. The speaker has a clean black frame and date code from the 43rd week of’64. The speaker is wired to the original harness with the flat metal cap seen on the earliest Blackface speaker jacks. The nickel hardware on the amp is completely original and the faceplate is particularly clean, with stock witch hat knobs. The stock black tolex and silver sparkle grill are extremely well-kept, with sparingly little aging of the grillcloth which has plenty of sparkle in the thread. This is a no-excuses early Blackface Princeton which delivers a sound worthy of the Fender name. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely.
