Vintage Tube Amp

Vintage KODAK Projector FS-10-N Mono Tube Amplifier – Quad 6V6, 6J5, 6J7. We do not have the power cord for this unit and were unable to test it. It is in fairly good physical condition with a few small issues we noted: One of the wires is disconnected from a part; one of the parts has some flaking paint. The plastic fuse holder has a crack in it. The bottom of the amplifier does not rest evenly due to part of it being a different depth than the rest (see photos). Due to its age, you should assume it will need some updating/modding. We have included the transformer, which plugs into the amplifier – attached to the transformer are various switches, fuse, and a power plug. Please see all the photos. Uses tubes: (4) 6V6, 6J5, 5Z4, 6J7. All together the parts and amplifier weigh 13 lbs 8 oz. The amplifier measures 12 x 7.25 x approximately 5 high. Offered is the Tube Amp from the RCA model 400 Projector. The amp is clean and in good condition. It is a 7-tube type with lineup as follows: 6J7, 6J5, 6SN7GT, (3) 6V6GT and 5Y3GT. It powers up on Variac-testing, all tubes light up. The amp has Push-Pull 6V6GT output and a 6V6GT driver tube. All electronics within appear original and in good condition. The controls rotate freely and all original knobs are included. The amp housing is very clean and free of rust or corrosion. The output transformer appears to be a replacement by Empire Coil-it is bolted to the chassis with machine screws, not rivets. These amps are high-quality Hi Fi types desirable for audio systems of all kinds. Also suitable for DIY work. 12 1/4 X 8 X 7 inches in size and about 15 pounds packed up. The audio sounds great high and low frequency level pots work exactly as they should. There is no distortion even on full volume. Hum and noise floor are well within spec. The volume pot is slightly scratchy so it could use a shot of cleaner. I do not have a power cord but I included the pinout diagram. If you are in the vintage audio world, you are probably already aware that even though an item is functioning flawlessly, presently, there is no guarantee that repairs will not be needed in the future sooner or later. Capacitors and other components, change value overtime and may at some point need to be changed. I ran this amp for approximately three hours yesterday feeding an eight ohm load to make sure there was no component breakdown during that time. Overall, this is a great warm, sounding tube amplifier.

Vintage 2A3 Tube projector amplifier TYPE: NP8. Condition is very good considering it’s age, normally see more rust on these and this one is very nice. Look at the bottom in fact, this is normally very worn. Beautiful specimen of a very old and rare amplifier. (the schematic should be on the inside bottom cover). Tubes for this not included would be 2x 57 2x 2A3 1x 5Z3. The only numbers I could see on the 2 transformers is a 4 digit number code.
