Vintage 1950s The Fisher Model 500 Mono Tube Receiver / Amplifier FOR PARTS OR REPAIR (READ). Up for sale is a rare, mid-century relic of high-fidelity history: the Fisher Model 500 Mono Receiver. Introduced in the late 1950s by Avery Fisher’s legendary company, this was the first “integrated” receiver that combined a high-quality tuner, preamplifier, and power amplifier on a single chassis. This unit is an absolute dream project for a dedicated tube audio restoration expert or a valuable donor for rare, original Fisher components. Condition & Inspection Notes Please read carefully before purchasing. Zero Testing Performed: This unit has NOT been plugged in or powered up. Due to the age of the original capacitors and internal components, it is unsafe to apply power without a controlled variable transformer (variac) and a full bench inspection. No Power-Up Guarantee: There is no guarantee that this unit will power on, produce sound, or pass signals. Visual Condition: The chassis shows standard signs of 70-year-old age, including surface oxidation, dust, and patina. The front faceplate retains its classic Fisher aesthetic but may show wear. Please inspect the high-resolution photos for the exact tube complement and physical state of the transformers. Pioneer of the Integrated Receiver: One of the most historically significant pieces of audio gear, marking the transition from separate components to the all-in-one receiver format. Massive Original Transformers: Built with heavy-duty iron that made Fisher the gold standard for mid-century American tube sound. Premier Restoration Candidate: For the audiophile who values the warm, musical “Fisher Sound, ” this is the ultimate platform for a complete rebuild. Model: 500 (Original Mono Series). Included: The Fisher 500 Chassis as shown in pictures. (Note: No external wood cabinet, speakers, or cables are included). This unit will be “double-boxed” with heavy-duty padding to ensure the chassis and transformers are protected from impact during transit.

This is an early Sansui SM-32 hi-fi stereo tube receiver/amplifier. The unit is untested. I have not powered it on and do not know its operating condition. It is also missing some of the vacuum tubes, so it should be gone through by a qualified technician before any attempt is made to use it. Cosmetic condition is shown in the photos. The chassis has oxidation/corrosion, age wear, dirt, scratches, and other typical vintage wear. The faceplate presents fairly well overall, but there are flaws and wear visible. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description. Includes the Sansui SM-32 unit only, as pictured. No extra tubes, covers, manuals, or accessories are included unless shown in the photos.

Vintage The Fisher 500C FM Tube Stereo Receiver Amplifier (Most Original Tubes). Pre owned in working condition. I assume from the age, a cleaning and deoxit could be usefull. This has many original tubes The Fisher Germany. Missing gold round knob end plate on speaker selector knob. When testing the balance knob when turned all the way to the right does not direct audio just to right speaker. Left is fine, and when balance is centered, both speakers play correctly. I assume the potentiometer knob needs deoxIT due to age and oxidation. Please see video and photos, if you have any other questions, I will try my best to answer. See pics above.
