Vintage 1962 HH Scott Stereomaster 222C Tube Amplifier – SHOWN WORKING READ. They will be pulled using gloves, and will be labeled as to exactly where they were pulled from so they can be placed back in their original locations. About this unit: When the unit first made it into my hands it was missing all knobs and I was unable to get the unit to power on (which turned out to be just because I didn’t know how). I sent the unit off to my technician a retired E. E and had him give the unit a once over. While he was able to get the unit to power on he wasn’t able to get sound out of it. So he ran some tests and got the unit up and running again (his full notes can be read at the bottom of the listing), in total he. Cleaned the selector switch’s using deoxit, allowing the unit to properly play sound again. Tested all electrolytic capacitors with an ESR meter and found that they were all in good working condition. Tested and confirmed all tubes in the unit were working as intended. Ran the unit under a dummy load at 20WPC for 2 hours to ensure the unit wouldn’t blow itself up. In his testing he found signs the unit had previously been worked on, finding many (but not all) of the ceramic tube capacitors had been replaced with “Orange Drop” caps (see final photo of the unit on the listing). The note from my technician, and a printed copy of the owners manual will be provided with the unit. NO original packaging, manuals, or other accessories included. All of the knobs are missing. Complaint was that it would not power up at all. I found that the tubes did light up, but that indeed, there was no sound. By trying all of the controls, I found that the tape monitor slide switch was intermittent. Treating that switch with DeOxit fixed it. Other tests and observations: I also applied DeOxit to the selector switches. No treatment of any of the pots, which were quiet and felt smooth. Testing the electrolytic capacitors with an ESR meter found that they are all okay, with ESR numbers far lower than the series resistors. Tested the tubes, which were all okay. The 7178 output tubes have no brand visible, but all 4 appear the same. Three of the 12AX7 input tubes are Telefunken, but the fourth is Sylvania. Removed dust with compressed air and mild cleaning of the chassis with a damp cloth. The amplifier was tested powering speakers and a dummy load at up to 20 W/channel, and about 5W/channel for 2 hours. As received, this amplifier was missing all of its knobs. They were replaced with new black bakelite knobs (Davies Molding p/n 1104). The new knobs do not match the originals, but they are clean and functional. They are easily changed if original style ones can be found. Note that there are some signs that this unit has been worked on before, mainly that most, but not all, of the white ceramic tube capacitors have been replaced with Sprague “Orange Drop” caps. Also the bottom cover is fastened by just 4 screws, 5 others are missing.

This is the mighty H. Scott model LK-150 I picked this item up from the owner of a electronics repair shop. He overhauled the unit replacing all the capacitors and other parts that were needed. He also replaced the power transformer. The original part was no longer available, so he replaced with separate transformers. This unit can crank out 60 watts per channel all day long. Scott Stereomaster 340 Receiver. Up for sale is a A rare used 1963 H. Scott Stereomaster 340 vacuum tube MPX receiver. All tubes were tested and they are good to N. The original four Amperex 7591 tubes test excellent at 8,500-9,250 umhos. Controls work but there is switching crackle in some. The unit is in excellent cosmetic shape with a few small marks that are shown in the images. The plastic tuning dial is missing. With the bottom cover off, everything inside looks original to the factory design. This unit does partially work but will need work to bring it back to factory spec. I have included a fairly hard-to-find owners manual and schematic for this unit. This is a highly sought after integrated tuner with great build quality. With some TLC this will make the centerpiece of a fantastic stereo system for someone looking to explore tube audio. The unit is very heavy and will be packed safely. Super duper RARE find of a Scott Guitar amplifier Head in great condition and just serviced. It sounds very good as younwould expect from Scott audio products. The Vintage Scott line has exploded in Price, and I have never in 50 years seen one of these. 2 6L6s deliver about 30-40 watts of power. It was just serviced by my master tech and has a new 3 prong chord on it. I don’t think this was used much. Add a reverb to it and you got a killer club amp.

Pair of Scott 210F mono integrated amps. (You can watch a video on restoring these from Blueglow Electronics on YouTube). These should be gone through and recapped by a tech as any 60+ year old amp should be. The bumble bee caps are the later Mylar versions, which many say last well and don’t need to be replaced but that’s up to the restorer. Listed as for parts or not working just because it needs two power tubes and restoration but the transformers are tested as good. Amp 1 has all telefunken 12ax7 and 12au7 tubes but is missing the EL34 tubes. Amp 2 has rca 12ax7 and 12au7 tubes and Sylvania EL34 tubes. Amp 1 is missing the bottom plate screws so it is taped on. There is one missing resister in amp 1 underneath the power tubes but it will work once that is replaced. I will double box these and pack them carefully so they arrive safely.
