The all-valve JCM800 2203 is one of the most highly respected 100W Marshall heads in the company’s long history. Evolving from the legendary Plexi head, it was one of the first Marshall amps to feature a master volume control. The essence of simplicity, the JCM800 is a one-channel, all-valve amp with no reverb or effects. Its easy control panel, distinctive roar, and larger-than-life edge immediately set the standard by which all other rock amps were judged and it remained the industry benchmark throughout the entire 16 years of its production life. Now it’s back by popular demand and just like the 1959SLP and 1987X it has a Series Effects Loop with true bypass that takes the loop completely out of the circuit ensuring the original tone isn’t compromised in any shape or form. Simpson 260 Series 6M Multimeter w/ Leads & Manual-Serviced, Calibrated & Tested. The Simpson 260 Multimeter is an industry “Gold Standard” VOM since introduced in the 1930s and, with its accuracy, is still the preferred choice for testing professionals. This Simpson 260 Series 6M is a winner as it has been serviced, calibrated, and tested by Steve McKinley of Atlanta Tube Amp, who is a Simpson 260 metrologist and a longtime user of the 260. As part of its servicing. Meter needle adjusted to exact zero. The individual components were tested and, if out of spec, replaced. Switches and potentiometers were resoldered, cleaned, and tested. The meter circuit was calibrated to exactly 5K (this is crucial as it impacts the entire meter operation). Meter used to test its own fresh, new Duracell 1.5V and 9V batteries. Tested 10K 1% resistor. Tested known 120VAC source. Tested 500VDC vacuum tube amplifier. Meter calibrated in a “flat position” as that the way it’s intended to be used. The Series 6M is one of Steve’s favorite models as it. Uses the leads with banana jacks. Has the mirrored scale to help prevent parallax error when reading the meter i. User can see when the needle is directly aligned for accurate reading – BIG PLUS. Has the Off / Transit switch position. Is the first model to use the NEDA 13 F “D” cell and NEDA 1604A (9-Volt) battery combination. Has the separate battery / 1-Amp fuse cover. The Adjust-A-View handle supports the meter in a sloping position for easy viewing. Calibration pots for both the meter and A/C voltages. Get this Simson 260 Series 6M that has been serviced, calibrated, and tested before someone else does! Testing leads and a copy of the Operator’s Manual are included.
Danelectro Series D, Model 89 (Master) Tube Amp. All original except tubes and some capacitors. This amp was made to be used with an optional “slave” amp but functions independently as well. A previous owner attached a “MASTER” nameplate (see photo). There are some “nail polish” setting marks on the control panel which a previous owner applied. Amp works fine, including tremolo, but it has a fixed low level hissing/spitting sound at any volume setting, with or without input signal. 15 Utah Speaker: Cone is marked 10675441? ; Frame is marked V15M1 and 328625. Note: When playing a guitar through the amp at higher volume and increased bass there is a distinct buzz which is cancelled by physical pressure applied to the chassis. It is not a speaker problem – it is purely mechanical which can likely be resolved by tweaking the chassis mounting. I mention this because I don’t want the new owner to think it is a speaker or electronic problem. Original canvas cover is in poor condition but could serve as a pattern to make a new one. Leather handle appears original and is in very good usable condition. No foot switch included. See photos for overall item condition. Inspect all photos closely – they are an integral part of the description. Items are for sale to buyers in the Continental United States (48 states) only.
