Vintage Tube Amp

I have not tried to power this unit up or test it. I know better not to plug in old electronics without going through them. This unit is dirty and full of dust. It sounds like there is a loose part rattling around in the metal base. This unit is heavy is heavy and weighs 39 pounds and 6 ounces. The measurements are approximately 10 inches by 12 inches. The height is about 9 inches tall from base to top of tallest transformer. There is a Halldorson T3103 Plate transformer. This thing is massive. 5.75″ tall, 6.5″ wide, 4.25 thick. The label is wearing off and hard to read. This is what I could make out: (It may not be complete) T310B Plate Transformer, High Voltage, (2) Out Top, ? (2) Black, Halldorson Co, Chicago. No tubes lit up when the power supply was plugged in and the outlet on the power supply didn’t power anything either. The amplifier and preamp are untested as a result. Vintage McIntosh MI-200 A-109 K-107 Mono Monoblock Tube Amplifier Power Supply. Here is a Beautiful Vintage Original McIntosh Industrial type K-107 Tube Amplifier Power Supply. This power supply is for use with the MI-200 / A-109. It comes with M-147C & M-148A transformers and 4- 5U4 and a solid state 5Y3 as shown. According to the previous owner, This came out of a Tektronix lab and was in operation until fairly recently. This was brought up slowly on a variac and tested with an amplifier and worked fairly well. Note that it will likely need a full tune-up. The AC cord should be replaced as well. Here is a Beautiful Vintage Original McIntosh Industrial type MI-200 / A-109 / K-107 Mono Monoblock Tube Amplifier with Power Supply. Amplifier A-109 Part of K-107 Serial Number 554. It comes with M-149H & M-168 transformers and the following tubes 2- 8005, 2- 6BX7, 2- 6AU5, 12AX7 and 12AU7. The MI-200 power supply is D-106 part of K-107 Serial Number 579. It comes with M-147C & M-148A transformers and 4- 5U4 and a solid state 5Y3 as shown. These came out of a Tektronix lab and were in operation until fairly recently. I brought them up slowly on my variac and it passed audio fairly well. There is some minor hum and a little distortion at higher volumes so I’m sure they will need a full tune-up. The power supply AC cord should be replaced as well. This will make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection. I will also be listing an additional MI-200 Power Supply.
