I had asked him if he ever did anything to it and he said, “No”. It had never had any problems and still has all the original parts, hardware and tubes. I bought the amp and changed the silverface faceplate to a blackface re- issue faceplate so that is the only non-original part that I know of other than the piggy back slide mount hardware and some caps. I remember that this amp played really loud and also has the original 3 prong plug. I took this amp to my amp tech this week, who replaced all the filter caps, the fuse and went over the operation so everything should be working perfectly. This amp is one of the very last and latest Bassman’s made Dec. 1971 before they changed the circuit in Jan, 1972 and renamed the new model the Bassman 50! It’s quite RARE! Serial # A 63194. Black ink stamped BROWN. Black ink stamp inside chassis- Richard Hand Dec 1971. Black ink stamp- 43033. Power Trans # J022814. 606 3071 7 (30th week of 1971). 606131 (31st week of 1971). 606-1-46 (46th week of 1971). It might serve the buyers purpose to bring up the power slowly with a variac since these amp heads are over 50 years old and have not been used for a few decades. It is in excellent condition. I have replaced the stock power tube with a JJ 6v6 power tube for a smoother tone. This amp has two channels, clean and ultra, an effects loop, and an included foot switch that gives a gain boost. There are no defects with this unit and it has been packed very carefully. Comes with power cord.

Very cool looking unit. Power cord needs replaced for sure. It powers up, the tubes light up inside and out. There’s some paint splatter on it that came off with a little effort. I think it’s latex (try Windex or ammonia) and it’s mainly on the rear of the unit. There is some kind of glue on the front lower area where there is also a chip. I didn’t clean this up much as you can tell by the photo of the inside and the dust. Thanks for stopping by!

This is A Super Cool Vintage 1950s Premier USA 110 Guitar/Harp All Tube Amplifier that’s in great vintage condition over all for its age (see pics). It is in the cosmetic condition shown, so be sure to see all of the pics (see pics). I tried to take really good pics, so you can judge for yourself (see pics). This amp appears to be all original with the exception of the power cord (still 2 prong). This amp has NO issues that I can find and operates as it should. Cosmetically it does show some age as you would expect, but still very clean overall.
