Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Vibrosonic Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A rare vintage Silverface-era Fender amp, the Vibrosonic uses the 100 watt all tube platform of the venerable Twin Reverb and pairs it with a single 15 speaker. Perfect for situations where maximum headroom, power, and crystalline cleans are essential, the massive Fender-branded Cerwin Vega model P. 15 speaker compliments the circuit perfectly. Whether you want aggressive Tele snap, the rich textures of a pedal steel, or the polyphony and powerful bass response of a Fender Rhodes piano, the Vibrosonic is an ideal choice. The amp also features Fender’s tube driven Reverb and Vibrato (technically tremolo), which add extra dimension to the tone and can be accessed via the original two-button footswitch. The circuit is very original and recently serviced, with stock Schumacher transformers that date to between late 1972 and’73. All of the original blue molded capacitors are intact in the preamp, and the original CTS pots date to early’74. The power supply has been professionally recapped, and the preamp features new bypass caps as well to ensure years of future trouble-free operation. The tube compliment consists of a matched quartet of properly biased Ruby 6L6s, along with a host of modern preamp tubes. The speaker is among the most robust used in any Fender amp, and the Cerwin Vega has a clean orange frame and original sticker on the magnet. The tube chart is partially intact inside the cabinet, which retains its original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. The finger-jointed cabinet does show have repairs on the top edges of the cabinet, which have been addressed both structurally and cosmetically, with the tolex carefully glued down after the finger-joints themselves were reglued. The Silverface faceplate retains all of its original turquoise text and full compliment of black witch hat knobs, and all of the original hardware is intact including the tilt-back chrome legs, corners, handle caps, chassis straps, and sphinx glides (feet). Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Twin Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original footswitch, cover, manual, and schematic. A pristine vintage amp that’s extremely original and just given a clean bill of health from our techs, this Twin is freshly retubed with a matched quad of JJ 6L6s and lives up to its reputation for having the most formidable, glassy, and balanced clean tones a tube amp can provide. These tones are further complimented by a pair of original Utah 12 speakers, which have a smooth, punchy, and surprisingly articulate sound. The circuit is very original, with a virtually untouched preamp and original Schumacher transformers that date to 1974. The bias circuit has been simplified and reverted to an earlier Fender wiring scheme with a true bias pot as opposed to “bias balance” between the tubes. This provides a greater range for ensuring optimal tube life and plate voltage. All of the original CTS pots are present as well, dating to’74. The chassis has a gleaming faceplate and full compliment of original knobs. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is pristine, and the pair of Utah 12 speakers have immaculate black frames and original blue foil Fender stickers. The smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe is near mint, as is all of the original hardware. The stock set of casters is present too. The original slip cover is included, with “Fender” silkscreened in silver, along with the original two-button footswitch, manual, schematic, and envelope for said paperwork. Up for sale, a 1959 Danelectro Twin Twelve Series D Model 98 tube amplifier in exceptional condition and in good working order. An exceedingly clean and well preserved vintage Danelectro tube amp, the Twin Twelve boasts a two-channel circuit driven by a quartet of fresh JJ 6L6 power tubes. Channel One has tons of bass, with a muscly clean tone that quickly gains a bit of hair when you dig in, with a very rich, churning drive when you dime it out. The low end is burly and full while retaining a certain focus and punch, and the gain is positively ripping. Channel Two is more polite, with far less bass and a more glassy quality, still driving hard when you turn it up. Remolo effect works on both channels and is extremely square wave in nature, cutting through with tons of chop and enough variance in the Speed knob to go from swampy and slow to relatively fast. The circuit is clean and stock, with original CTS pots which date to early’57. The original pair of Utah alnico 12 speakers have clean 1957 date stamps on the magnets as well. The original transformers are intact, and the upper and lower chassis both have extremely clean polished aluminum, with deep brown silkscreening on the upper chassis and the full compliment of original brown molded knobs. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is fully intact too. Cosmetically, this Danelectro is a real stunner, with original gold sparkle grillcloth and a textured blonde covering on the cabinet. There is only light wear and staining on the bottom of the enclosure, and the Danelectro lucite badge is intact on the face. Very clean and well maintained, this Twin is a unique transitional amp that still retains the Blackface era AB763 circuit and is additionally a factory upgrade model with the original pair of JBL D120 speakers. When it comes to the quintessential Fender amp for clarity, headroom, and a balanced, authoritative response perfect for guitar, pedal steel, or your Fender Rhodes piano, it’s hard to beat the Twin Reverb. The top end chimes and twangs without being brittle, and the low end has fullness without being too overbearing. It’s as classic and pure a design as Leo Fender ever created! The circuit is very original, and all of the original Schumacher transformers are present, with dates ranging from mid 1968-early’69. The amp features stock CTS pots, cloth wiring, carbon comp resistors, and a mostly original compliment of capacitors. The main filter caps have been replaced with high quality Sprague Atoms to guarantee years of future trouble-free use, and a modern three-prong power cable has been installed as well. The power tubes are a quad of well matched modern short bottle 6L6s and the preamp tubes are all modern valves as well. The original JBL D120F speakers are both present with original labels on the alnico magnet bells as well as faint factory stamps from 1969. These speakers easily handle the power of the Twin, and the wiring harness is completely stock too, right down to the Fender “F” cap on the 1/4 pancake jack. The original tube chart is intact, noting the AB763 circuit. The original black tolex is particularly clean, with only minor scuffing and very light edge wear. The grillcloth has been professionally replaced on the original screw-in baffle, and when the grill was installed, the original aluminum drip edge trim was removed from the grill. All of the original hardware is present including the chrome tilt back legs, nickel corners, sphinx glides and handle.
