Up for sale, a 1982 Fender “Rivera Era” Super Champ in 100% original condition and in good working order. This is a clean and stock Super Champ with a compliment of carefully selected vintage tubes to sound its best. This 18 watt tube amp packs incredible tone and features into the pint sized Champ enclosure. One of the last great amps of the original Fender line, this all tube wonder was part of a line of amplifiers created by Paul Rivera, who later went on to create another great line of boutique amps under his own name. This amp features two channels with independent gain controls; one for classic Fender clean, and the other for more saturated “high gain” tones. The reverb sounds great too! The original 10 speaker is intact with a ceramic magnet, original cone and blue Fender label. Overall the amp is cosmetically very well kept, with only the faintest wear to the original black tolex and hardware, with silver sparkle grillcloth and a minty and original “Fender” logo. The tube chart is intact and both the original power and output transformers have 1982 date codes, along with the CTS pots. This Super Champ is extremely clean, original and sounds great! 1873 Colt SA 45 1st Generation C. Vintage Seymour Duncan Convertible 100 Tube Amplifier Head With Custom Anvil Flight, ATA, Road, Rackmount Case. This was bought at an estate. We tested it and it functions fine. What ever imperfections are as-is. As I said: As-is. There is some light scuffing and scratching and tarnishing of the chassis mounting hardware. There doesn’t appear to be any heavy wear or tear. TThe face plate is not flat. Here’s a bit of dust and grime, nothing a damp rag won’t take care of. This a 100 watt, all tube combo with interchangeable pre amp tube module to shape and alter the tonality and power of the amplifier. It’s kind of a killer precursor to today’s modeling amplifiers, albeit, an all tube modeler. There seems to be an assortment of older type tubes sending 100 watts of power to a Seymour Duncan designed 12 ohm speaker. Other killer features include an effects loop, variable damping, reverb, pentode/triode mode and a built in attenuator system that takes the amp from 5 watts to 100 watts. Tonally, this one is pure beast! It has a big, mountainous tone! Smooth, round, fat clean tone. Massive, room filling power and projection. The gain and overdrive on this a very reminiscent of a vintage Mesa Boogie, very creamy and syrupy sounding! Here is a wonderful opportunity to own a unique and versatile amp!
